Mulling genuine turquoise. It's very, very light, even more so than Thulite, with no value range to speak of. It's pretty in it's own way, but more of a curiosity than a widely useful painting color I think, considering how expensive it is. Red Jasper painted out. This pigment is a rich red brown, similar in color to Burnt Sienna, perhaps a little redder. It's very textured with heavy granulation, since if it is ground too fine it will be paler in color. I'm very interested to compare this imported pigment with the red jasper I am grinding from local stone! I wonder how different they will be? . .
