Hm. So, I’ve been working with @captainsaku on a book, and I’m rather smitten with the iteration of Rashallen that appears in it. Rasha started as my Dragon Age: Inquisition protagonist, only to become the non-binary, pansexual lead in our novel with Saku’s Ninimeth. Also they’re a shapeshifting dragon. They’re strong, skilled in martial combat, and stubborn to a fault; though also a classic case of hard on the outside, but a total softy for those they care for. They love deeply and can be arrogant at times, but they’re almost three millennia old, so they have a few...flaws. Rasha is passionate, whip smart, and caring when it counts. They’re great, and I’m real excited to share them with the world.

I love all of the female Inquisitors who get fancy dresses and delicate pj mods, but...

What about the warrior Inquisitor who prefers tunics and trousers to skirts or gowns, who loves the way their broad shoulders and powerful arms look in the jacket they wear to Halamshiral?

The Inquisitor who enjoys being androgynous and shies from clothes that would set them as solely feminine or masculine. 

The genderqueer Inquisitor who will wear a soft, chiffon gown one day, and a well-cut shirt and trousers the next.

The Inquisitor’s LI complimenting them at Halamshiral when they appear in a well tailored suit, just as awed/flustered as they would be if the Inquisitor wore a gown. 

The Inquisitor who prefers loose garments to the formfitting beige pjs Josephine initially offers.

Lavellan, wandering about in a vest and leggings, the vallaslin on their back and shoulders bare to see.

Adaar in a simple breastband and trousers when there are no dignitaries to meet and only friends to train and converse with.

Trevelyan, hair cut short and arms free in a loose shirt, freed from the finery of the day.

Cadash, clad in leather as they go about their business, the sun still too-bright whenever they wander outside of the main keep.

Give me Inquisitors who don’t conform to their gender expectations. Give me the powerful and non-standard body types, the Inquisitors who would rather dress practically. Give me the genderqueer Inquisitors who wear what they want to wear, who wear the opposite of the garments expected for their gender. Give me a variety, not just the gowns.
