the very beginning of bsd, atsushi's first introduction has always reminded me of the beginning of rashomon. a starving man of strong moral principle on the streets, having no option but to steal out of survival instincts? i'm sure it's just a coincidence or whatever but knowing asagiri's tendency to flip narratives on authors real life relations and basing the characters on their writing and stuff, it might be a conscious decision? im not sure but i really like their fates being intertwined since the beginning

So when Akutagawa uses that devour space thing does he just like… leave random holes in space. Like someone will walk into that alley they met in and like… not be able to walk in certain places because space is just gone? Is that what he does? Do the people in Yokohama just know that if they find a spot where space is gone that means Akutagawa was there? Is there a spot in the PM basement that everyone just has to walk around or step over right where Akutagawa’s head was the first time he used it?
