Day 3 of drawing Chili Pepper
Shh, I haven't slept so it's not Friday yet...
Chili Pepper comes from a very big family. Not counting all the honorary family members, he still has a large amount of family members, from aunts, cousins, and yes, siblings.
He is the second youngest of five kids, with two loving parents, and yes being one of the youngest does warrent him the youngest baby treatment, alongside his little sister Bellflower, whom he caters to just as much as their parents.
His father Chocolate Chip Cookie, is a chocolatier in all but title, his mother Red Velvet Ribbon, is a ribbon dancer and expert gift wrapper, basically her special talent extends to anything relating to ribbons. He has a great relationship with them both as a kid, but it does become very strained as a rebelious teenager. This is of no direct fault from his parents, Chili is just a complicated, and very difficult child.
He butts heads a lot with his oldest brother Raspberry Cordial ( far left with the bandages ) who doesn't approve of his decisions most of the time and is only hard on him because he wants him to succeed and not be so egotistical.
His oldest sister Peppermint Rhodalite ( far left, frowning distainfully ) is often just plain deadpan rude to him, finding him annoying and overinflated. She was the filly who sulked every time a new little sibling was born, so she's kind of just done with the lot of them and looks forward to moving out.
The middle child, Sugar 'n Spice ( far right ) is often a target for teasing from Chili Pepper. He may be older and has learned to be witty and clever, but Chili still likes to steal his hearing aids and hide them. Though again, Spice is clever, so he always figures it out nowadays. It used to be easy to hide things from him and rile him up, but now as teenagers their bickering, tormenting relationship towards each other has turned into a healthy one, more of a friendly competition, one where Chili is determined to outsmart him once and for all, and Spice is snickering impishly because he's always one step ahead and knows he never will.
Bellflower has already been mentioned. She is doted on by her parents, but also by all her siblings too. Instead of turning her into a spoiled brat, Bellflower is a very happy, kind, and thoughtful teenager now, having observed and learnt from her siblings, because despite being the baby of the family, she's still... in a house full of siblings. It takes great strengths to survive in such a setting. Their doting treatment was often based on tough love, giving her an experience of "own up to what you did wrong first, THEN you get ice cream and an extra long turn on the Neightendo. The choice is yours." Not a guaranteed method of creating a good person, but it worked for her. Chili was the only one who really let her get away with things, always presenting himself as the fun older brother who helped her cause more mischief.
