Raspberries are ripe, go pick you some before the birds get them all. . . . Our native black raspberries are one of the highlights of the wild food year in kentucky. If you’re doing permaculture landscaping in a small space, they will produce far better than blueberries and need less space (and less direct sunlight) to produce a bucket of berries than blackberries. The only maintainance they need is to be cut back, since they will take over your whole space if you let them. For my raspberry hedge that amounts to about an extra afternoon of work every third year, but individual results may vary. . . . Besides the berries, the leaves are useful for a nutritious tea and can be harvested about four times a year. The dry canes with their waxy outer layer make decent fire-starters, and the space under them is a good habitat for small animals like rabbits. . . . #organicgardening #raspberrytime #wildedibles #rewildyourlife #herbalmedicine #remedy #agroecologia . . . https://www.instagram.com/p/BygngLrF8lj/?igshid=1t6o2ys64e3dc
