Slytherin Horned Serpent Rat Patronus Cancer for anon

So I'm Slytherin, and thunderbird. I got a rat patronus. I can see how Slytherin and a rat could go together but I'm struggling to connect thunderbird to them, any thoughts?

i think thunderbird is a more abstract house, characterized by being driven by the soul, which, to me, means having really good instincts and intuition, and i think that could really fit with the rat patronus. plus they’re seen as adventurers and i think that matches to this bit from pottermore:
