Finally made progress with my r.at skull! The cool weather seems to be actually kicking in lately which was probably the reason it just wasn’t making any progress. Well, that and I kept forgetting to take it inside 😅

Degreasing probably won’t take to long, I find r.odents aren’t particularly greasy at all and they go rather smooth and quick. Unfortunately they do tend to come apart very easy but I can’t wait to see this guy once I put him back together.

The feet seems a little more stiff, the time just before when I took them out they were still movable but not by much. I think I prefer borax for drying things out as it seemed to really help with any smell from it. I’m not sure yet if I really want to keep them or if I’ll place them outside for nature 😕

On the bright side, the skull is now degreasing! Shouldn’t be much longer in there before whitening.

Finally out of degreasing and this guy is definitely going to need some time in peroxide

Otherwise he looks good so far and seems like all of the parts are there for when it’s time to rebuild it.
