quartz: how my muse thinks other people see them

Kratos is more than well aware of how Lloyd and his friends viewed him at different points in time.

Generally, after the betrayal, he assumes they will only see him as a villain, and this is why he doesn’t bother them much in the few times they run into him. He also happens to be doing his own thing, of course, but if they see him one way, it’s better to keep them guessing.

In general, he thinks most people see him as intimidating. After all, he has a generally stoic look on his face most of the time, and a lot of people tend to react nervously because of that. It’s not so much that he tries, it’s just the consensus of most people that ‘that guy is scary’.

"R-Regal! M-Merry Christmas....I g-got you a present." Emil smiles, handing the older a carefully wrapped, small box with a green now on top. "I-I know it isn't much, but I hope you like it."

Graciously he took the gift. “Thank you Emil, Merry Christmas.” He offered the young man a package of festive cookies, chocolate roll slices and other sweets he had made. “This is for you.” His attention was then back on his present. “Might I open it now?”

For a moment, Emil just stares at Regal, his green eyes growing a bit watery before he forces himself to look away. He really was contemplating on telling the older man. It might help him some. But still, he remembers Alice’s threats, how she had so clearly described what she would do to Marta if he did tell anyone.

He mentally shakes his head from those disturbing thought, suppressing a shudder. “Th-Thank you Regal, but I’m fine. Really.” The blonde forces a small smile on his lips, trying to look as reassuring as possible.

Without a doubt he saw Emil on the verge of tears before he turned away. He was a gentle and caring soul, so for him to be ready to cry was a clear indication that he distressed. The forced smile and insistence that he was fine did nothing to reassure Regal.

“Come with me.” His tone was quiet and gentle as a hand pressed against the center of Emil’s back, leading him to a quiet part of the city where they could speak with absolute privacy. “Emil, I believe you are hiding something serious from me. Tell me, are you or anyone else in trouble?”

 “I think there’s too much salt...” Marta mumbled as she tasted the stew she just created. Peering over her shoulder, she called, “Emil, come taste this; what do you think?”

“N-Nothing happened. I just ran away. I was sick of being here. I just made it up to sound interesting.” ((Hope it's okay to send you this ^.^ thought it might be interesting!))

“Emil.” He was rather disappointed in the young man. This was not like the Emil he knew. “Do you expect this course of action to solve your problems? Or does this simply put them off for another day?”

He saw a blond walking down the trail. Despite the Spirit being nervous in asking a mortal for assistance, he had no choice but to ask. He was lost after all. He caught up to the other, one hand scratching the back of his head in embarrassment. “E-Excuse me... I’m lost. Can you help me find the nearest town?”
