bookstore date-theme for Jerry/Hector and Desmond!

This was very fun to think about and I will answer to the best of my ability!! Also, I apologize for any grammatical errors and/or typos.
Desmond:
•Desmond is a book worm for very specific book types. They love to read sci-fi, horror, and non fiction. They also love reading science textbooks and they enjoy comics and manga a lot too.
•Desmond both giggles at corny book covers and fully reads the synopses. They’ll usually put it back but every once in a while a book cover is so corny and the synopsis is so wonderfully weird that Desmond has to get it. They especially love campy sci fi novels.
•That being said, Desmond always hesitates to buy things for themself. On their own, they would get buy one book at most. They have no problem getting Hector/Jerry whatever book and/or fun trinket they like though.
•When Hector/Jerry offer to buy books/trinkets for Desmond, they think it’s a very sweet gesture and they appreciate their lovers care. Desmond is very stubborn though so they usually have to be asked twice, which they don’t mind.
•On their own they’ll get one book but with Hector/Jerry they’ll leave with two or three and a trinket.
Hector:
•I imagine that Hector is 100% a book worm. I imagine that he likes reading from all genres, although his absolute favorites would be thrillers, mystery, and romance. I think that Hector would also enjoy the classics.
•Hector chuckles at corny book covers and then reads the synopsis of the book itself. One time, he saw a corny romance novel cover featuring a masked prince and a vampire in a beautiful red dress. Hector bought it, read the whole book, and realized that he didn’t like it.
•Hector decided to write his own version featuring him as the masked prince and Desmond as the vampire but in a beautiful blue dress. He reads every chapter he finishes aloud to Desmond and they love it. Once Hector finishes writing the book, he paints a cover for it using the original as reference. He paints himself as the masked figure and Desmond as the vampire. He doesn’t publish the book, he keeps it for himself and Desmond’s enjoyment.
•Hector also reads to their mischief of rats. They can’t understand what he’s saying but they like the sound of voice and often end sleeping on his lap as he reads.
•Hector would also struggle to buy things for himself but he would love to buy books for Desmond.
•Hector will leave with about three or four books.
Jerry:
•I imagine that Jerry is also a book worm. He would love to read books about trains and model building. I think that Jerry would also enjoy arts and craft books. I could also see him reading Desmond’s science textbooks when he has a question about something. Whenever he’s trying to identify an insect that gets in the house he rushes for Desmonds entomology textbook to try and identify it. I also think Jerry would like comic books.
•I think that Jerry giggles at the corny book covers and loves it when there’s a train involved. He’ll read them just for the train details. He does annoyed when they are inaccuracies though.
•Jerry would use the arts and crafts books to get ideas for train model designs and sets that he plans to build.
•Jerry will show the mischief the book and tell them about how cool the train is or how inaccurate the novel is. He will info dump to them when Desmond isn’t around. They don’t understand what Jerry is saying but they like the sound of his voice and will crawl on him as he talks.
•Jerry has no issue buying books/trinkets for himself and Desmond. Jerry and Desmond make a deal that every time they visit, they can each get 3 books and 1 trinket at most. That being said, they tend to bend this rule though.
