Scoreboard for our first RBG tonight. :)
I've recently dabbled into pvping within the past month+ or so. I transferred almost fully to horde now and i've joined an RBG team. Here's my progress for the past few days. :) Feels nice.

<Hearth> is the guild my main is in. It is an extremely laid back guild. We do not kick people for failing to show up, having crappy gear, sucking hard at their class, etc. Pretty much the only thing that will get you kicked is general douchebaggery.
At some point, I seem to have accidentally become our raid/rated battleground leader. For the most part, I'm okay with this. If I were a little more honest, I'd prefer to lead a more experienced group, but I think we've done remarkably well given our lack of rules. Overall, I'm pleased with our progression -- I still suspect I'll be doing most of my 1st kills in pugs, but we're slowly moving along as a guild just the same. I'm seeing my guildmates really improve as players, both in terms of gear and skill.
And then there's rated battlegrounds. Many of us are pretty confused by PvP, which makes no sense to me as we are on a PvP server, but whatever. We often go up against better skilled and geared teams, and we lose, but I'm okay with that -- don't actually lose any rating in that situation anyway.
Here's what really does piss me off though. The same people who can finally start following direction in PvE content seem to completely lose their shit the second we're in a battleground. It's like we're magically transformed from a guild group that's all in vent (which we actually are) into some convoluted crap pug, with people running wherever they feel like.
It doesn't bother me when someone is beaten by a better geared/skilled player than them; that's just the nature of the game. But seriously, if I say "group 2 go help lighthouse", and I see half of group 2 just chilling with me at mines (which is not being attacked at the time), it kinda make me wonder what the fuck is going on.
I'm curious, any other WoW type leaders have issues with people forgetting how to work as a team in PvP content?
