The court of Ram Folio 4 from the Suraj Prakash By Amardas Bhatti Jodhpur, 1830 The Surya Prakash (Light of the Sun) is a genealogical of the Rathore dynasty. Composed by the bard Karnidan in 1730 for Maharaja Abhai Singh (1724-49), it was a commission as he first illustrated history of the Rathores by Maharaja Man Singh (1803-43) 1830 Genealogies Were used to assert the antiquity and the seniority of a dynasty by lineage and the exemplary conduct of its member.
