@ratleaderr said: “Okay, Spiderman, let’s find Clementine.” // aj! the adventures of two toddlers and their non-binary nanny
aj wasn’t sure where these spider-man comics had been his whole life, but boy was he sure glad to’ve found them now! comics made reading so much more fun, and spider-man was awesome!
“ okay! ” he chirps back, before a playful grin tugs at his lips. he’s suddenly made a decision. “ bet i’ll find her before you do, GREEN GOBLIN! ”

Tools of antiquity—the compass, the straight edge—could not square the circle, couldn’t tame its numberless sides. Arcs, curves, chords of circles remain, tracing hollows of shells, clawed waves, parabolas of sand. See how matter curves around the emptiness, how it cups and gently holds the space where things are absent. Matter buckles and spirals around it, proving what is missing is more potent than what isn’t.
Matter aches to escape the discipline of being. Creation longs to possess the freedom from being a thing begotten. Even babies in their mothers’ wombs lie curled, crouched around the swell of the primordial. Straight or curved, tools cannot measure what it means to be, after all this time, still nascent, beholden to what you can never know. Armless, legless, a seahorse unrolls his tail, reels it in endlessly bobbing and straining in the tides.

❛ 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐮𝐭 , 𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐩 ? ❜ the path back towards ericson wasn’t that much longer ; it wasn’t much longer than marlon would let him walk close enough for their hands to brush. every now & again he’d lightly grip at the end of the other’s fingers. made the forest seem less threatening ---------- ‘course , marlon was the only one who knew he was SCARED out here. always was. turned his jokes up by a billion to cover it. if things got too tense , he’d bail.
❛ stop it ----------------- you look better when you smile. ❜ he hums softly , chair leg balanced on his shoulder as he glances over at him. his smile is CHEEKY. ❛ eh. you’ll put on that charming ---- but completely fake ---- smile when we get back. i bet brody will be SO glad to see you. ❜ he says that way more sarcastically than he meant to. no , he meant to.

Rocks weren't the most COMFORTABLE surface to be placed down on, but at this point she was looking for anything to move the blood away from her ankle where it throbbed painfully. Luckily, she hadn't fallen into the river itself, but falling with her leg bent the way it did was enough to put a spike of anxiety in her—she'd thought for sure that she'd BROKEN something for a few moments, but her ankle just looked a little bruised and the swelling was sure to come soon. There was some sprain for sure with how much it hurt. However, trying to hobble with Marlon as a crutch wasn't helping much.
Gingerly, she turned her ankle slightly, gritting her teeth at the pain as she figured out what side it was mostly injured on. There had been no 'pop', though, so thankfully maybe it would heal up soon. Still, there was the issue of getting back to the school now. She let out a sigh, glancing up at him with a small frown, taking a small glance around herself.
“The pain'll be the same no matter how long I sit,” she muttered, “Figure I should get back soon so I can wrap it so that piggyback might be my best bet...”
' i like to look at the stars, do you? '
———“ yeah... it’s peaceful . “ she responded , a smile forming upon her lips . her brown gaze traveled the night sky , the stars shining as bright as ever . unfortunately she didn't have time to star gaze that often , but now that she and aj had a home she could do it more often .
