Just got this Tumblr ad and it's utterly terrifying. It just stayed frozen on this image, no text, no indication what they were trying to sell, and then suddenly disappeared leaving a blank spot on the dash were it used to be.

There are AMAB nonbinary people, there are AFAB nonbinary people. There are intersex nonbinary people. There are transfem and transmasc nonbinary people. There are genderfluid nonbinary people. There are nonbinary people who medically transition in a way that lets them pass as cis, and there are nonbinary people who medically transition in a uniquely nonbinary way that makes them even more androgynous. There are nonbinary people who don't medically transition, who don't dress any differently than their AGAB, and they're still just as nonbinary and trans as all the other people I listed. There are nonbinary people who are trans women. There are nonbinary people who are trans men. There are nonbinary people who are both women and men. All of these types of nonbinary people exist and deserve support and acknowledgment. The nonbinary community isn't just one type of person, one extra gender. It's a diverse range of people untied by our rejection of the gender binary. Remember this.
I met the guy who does XKCD, he was doing a book signing in my town. I got to talk to him but I was akward as usual. He has this mix of subtle humor and intelligence, kinda shocked at how calm he seemed talking about these huge concepts. I wish I could have said something like I love your comics so much they're so important to me, but instead I just asked him about fonts 🤦

Tumblr is of course hellsite but just on paper it’s actually one of the more healthy social medias because you can’t view follower counts, having a popular tumblr blog is basically useless, there’s no such thing as a “tumblr influencer”, we drove off all the brand blogs after the Denny’s incident, and very few people on here are trying to project an idealized version of their life. The most popular people on here will just be like “well I shit myself so bad I had to go to the hospital”.

In hindsight it's strange that I developed a complex about the meaning of my name, instead of the fact that my parents picked it out randomly from a dictionary, just because it started with the letter V. They named their firstborn child using the same method some use to get a high-scoring word in Scrabble.
