With Sebastian Vettel being my favorite driver it’s amazing to see him pay respect and represent other drivers that not only I respect but so many other people respected too ! I’m so sure if Senna was alive today he would love Seb not even just as a driver but also for the person he is. Some people are trying to find a issue with Seb talking about Senna and Ratzenberger at such a high level. But people need to understand how important those two are to formula 1 and how important the 1994 season was. They are the reason why the FIA have now tried to make sure all drivers are safe in todays era of racing. And of course each era the cars have gotten safer and safer with Jules Bianchi who’s tragic passing is the reason we have the halo on todays cars. A few lives were lost at the cost of this sport 30 years ago but Senna and Ratzenberger were the most shocking. And even when you look back to the day Senna died he also wanted to pay respect for Ratzenberger with the Austrian flag being in his car when he crashed. Seb took the step to now honor both.

Vandaag herdenken we Ayrton Senna, die op 1 mei 1994 overleed na een horrorcrash tijdens de Grand Prix van San Marino. Het was het tweede fatale ongeluk van dat raceweekend. Een dag eerder, op 30 april 1994, crashte Roland Ratzenberger tijdens de kwalificatie. Hij overleed onderweg naar het ziekenhuis.
