I’m thinking… a backstory heavy fact for each of the big three.

★ Despite his modest upbringing, Baldemar was born into the Ter'Goaithe family, a pillar of Werme’s nobility. He returned to Redholt at the age of 17. The following year, both he and Adalgisa lost their titles after they sparked a civil rebellion. They left for Cleyn shortly after.

★ Adalgisa has been a devout follower of Cirr, the All-Mother, for most of her life. She distanced herself from her faith after the Fourth Concordat was established—a treaty which placed the Nave, sect of the All-Mother, at the heart of Werme’s ailing government.

★ Raul belongs to the longest-standing Masterhouse in Faercapel, his family having held a seat of power for the past four hundred years. As the only male heir to House Usra, Raul alone can ensure that the seat remains within his House when his father’s passes. After rejecting the seat on his twentieth birthday, he was sent from Faercapel by his father to “travel the world and reconsider his alliances”.

Born into one of the seven "Master Houses" of Faercapell, and the youngest and only son of five children. His sisters, in order of eldest to youngest, are Ofi, Hana, Camila and Madhi.

Has a terrible habit of pinching his neck when stressed or focused, which is all the time.

Lives and works in the Guild Halls’ old, converted library, but owns a Summer house on the Isle of Sirenbourne, south of The Capital. He inherited it from his mother, but rarely visits—firstly because of work, and secondly because he says the people there are "vapid". The only reason he ever goes back is to visit his cat, Gala.

Well-educated. Fluent in three languages and currently learning a fourth. Enjoys history, politics and philosophy... and can be a little patronising because of it.

Believer in equality, freedom and education, especially within his home country. Has all the charm and tools needed to make waves, but is too non-committal to bring his ideals to fruition.

Bonus fact! His middle name is the male variant of his mother’s, Elia. He was her clear favourite and she his greatest role-model. After her passing, he makes a point to use it alongside his first: “I carry her name and hope to make her proud.”
