Wait, Naeun and Shamaal danced at the ball?

Goddamn weather. The elements. Mental curses pinballed through the Ravenclaw's head as he skirted the outer edge of the castle, crystallized flakes dancing around him and gracefully landing on his shoulders. Beautiful, really — except he hated it. His fingertips had gone numb, and he had nearly slipped to his premature death thrice this afternoon. Brushing through a cluster of ecstatic fourth years, each immersed in the snowfall, he took the steps two at a time, finally passing through the entrance.
The snowflakes were already melting in his hair, and he flicked his head to the side to shake away the dewy droplets, letting them scatter to the damp floor, bearing muddy tracks and liquefying chunks of ice. Myungsoo exhaled a tense breath, rolling back his shoulders to relax his muscles that had grown stiff from the frosty air. His steps automatically led him to the library, aware the heating was central in that area of the castle.
The echoes of footsteps and chatter died as he let the library door swing shut behind him, ignoring the studious students and searching for a more secluded section. Distraction found him again, though, as his stare met a girl, one he knew. Unconsciously smiling, he approached Naeun with soft strides, registering leftover moisture trickle down his neck. Running careless fingers through his hair, he came to lean over her, winning her attention by sticking a wet handprint on the pages of her textbook. "Hey," he offered a lopsided grin, resting against the edge of the table.
