Hi hi!! I loved the new chapter, Scorch's emotions are so palpable and I can feel the dread she does when she keeps getting caught or when Razor showed up! As someone who's been SA'd I personally think you did a good job at portraying Scorch's feelings and inner turmoil, Razor is disgusting and I hope he gets Regina George'd <3

Also Portia!!!! I had a feeling she'd be a calico, though I am curious as to why she doesn't have collar? 👀 if it's spoiler territory than that's fine, but I AM watching her. And Gingersnap is very fitting for Scorch lmao it's very her indeed! Amazing art as always, I love how you draw Scorch she's so pretty!! :]

this is more of a silly ask haha but do the clan cats have like, cute nicknames for their friends/mates? we've had honeymouse and duckling from the matriarchs (very cute, i wonder if shadowclan uses tadpole) I've seen it here and there in some other rewrites with the most rememberable being "honeyheart" (which I think is adorable) so!! I was wondering if you guys had ever thought of any in passing! :] I think something like "bunnyface" would be equivalent to those really cutesy ones people groan at for a windclanner haha!

Thank you kindly for liking our stuff! It's fun to worldbuild for this setting, and especially get questions that we didn't think about before to figure out even more details.

Nicknames occur all over the territories, but RiverClan is notorious for having the most of them - usually gently teasing and mostly affectionate. Their nicknames in particular are the ones you'd expect from such a constantly jokey Clan; things like Preciouspaw or Loudbelly or Totterfoot. The other Clans generally don't use them when referring to their owners, considering it a little too rude for a relative stranger to call them by, but RiverClan wouldn't take it personally even if a ThunderClanner were to call the right cat Kitface.

But those are just casual nicknames. Ones saved for kittens (or your own grown child) are more diminutive and compare the namee to something small and cute. "Tadpole", like you said, is one that occurs wherever one can find water (which is mostly RiverClan and ShadowClan, though a ThunderClan cat or two has used it in good rain seasons). "Ant" or "little ant" are, of course, for small cats, whether apprentice or kit, with chrii meaning "little changing cat", essentially their equivalent of a warm "kid". "Honeymouse" in particular is an heirloom of ThunderClan's matriarchs, passed down many generations.

Mates and partners don't have a real special nickname of their own. You have the classics, like "dear" and "love", but if there was a specific moniker once, it's been lost to time with the more extreme base urges. I'm sure there's some couple affectionate to the point of grossness that have come up with specific names for each other, but they're a rare sight.

As a final note, WindClan is the least nickname-oriented Clan of the four. Their pet names sound more like regular terms than titles of affection. RiverClan finds it absolutely hilarious that they'll call their own children "kit". "Kit". Like they're strangers. God. Weirdos.
