This past weekend I did a refreshing trip to the popularly known as the the Chinhoyi Caves, located in Mashonaland west province of Zimbabwe. It is said that the first white man believed to have discovered the Caves was Frederick Selous, the famous European hunter, during his wanderings in 1887. The traditional name for the Caves is “Chirorodziva” which means the “Pool of the Fallen”. Space traveler Terry Virts has been on the ISS since December, taking feature. Fortunately for us, he gets a kick out of the chance to impart.

NASA space traveler Terry Virts appears to concur, as he’s been filling his Vine page with some really dumbfounding clasps of what our homeworld looks like from on board the International Space Station. A standout amongst the most amazing clasps is the one above Virts posted only two days prior that demonstrates the to a great degree striking Aurora Borealis that the Earth’s been encountering not long from now because of a gigantic sunlight based storm.
Virts is the flight design on Expedition 42 to the ISS, where he has been since late 2014. He’s because of return to Earth in May. Notwithstanding keeping up a Vine page loaded with dazzling short space features, Virts likewise keeps up a really dynamic Twitter site where he every now and again posts awesome shots of Earth from above.
In a meeting with NASA preceding his dispatch (PDF), Virts said one of the things he was most anticipating on his second outing to the ISS was investing time in its glass observatory unit known as the Cupola Observational Module, which he helped introduce. That, and coasting.
“The perspectives of Earth from that point are simply astounding,” he said. “When I was there the first occasion when I just had a couple of opportunities to watch out the Cupola on the grounds that we were so occupied and afterward we needed to leave directly after we introduced it. So I am anticipating having the capacity to live in space for six months and see Earth, see space. Yet I am truly anticipating seeing as well as encountering space. I am anticipating skimming once more. It was simply fun drifting and I have not possessed the capacity to do that for a considerable length of time so I am truly anticipating that.”
