@corrsiv asked for the meme:
Corvid , Sparrow , Hummingbird , Cardinal
Corvid- in what ways is your muse intelligent? Are they street-smart, book-smart, etc? Do they have any interests in particular? Where is their knowledge lacking?
Overhaul very much has above average intelligence. Especially in the areas of mathematics and science. He actually has a Masters degree in Biochemistry and if it wasn't for the fact that he was a Yakuza he would have become a very successful scientist. Now he used that brain to create the quirk destroying drugs and their serum instead.
It is to say that science has interested him since he was a child. He could often be seen often pouring over books he didn't quite understand rather than reading something age appropriate or playing with other children. It is safe to say that science is his biggest interest, especially Chemistry. He finds it fascinating to learn how everything in the world interacts and all the ways Chemicals can be used. ( Note: It should be avoided to ask him too much about these things unless one wishes for him to go on a long rant! ) In that sense he also enjoys science fiction but easily gets annoyed by anything that tries to sell itself as hard sci fi but completely fails in the science department. What an insult!
So obviously, he is most definitely far more book smart than street smart. However he did have to make a lot of experience working as a mid-ranked Yakuza before becoming the boss. He also had to learn a lot about the business aspects of running the organisation, which he didn’t quite enjoy but he understood the necessity of.
What Chisaki lacks most of all is creative and emotional intelligence. Will talk more abt the creative aspect in the next question, so about the emotional part:
While he is capable of understanding what other people might be feeling on a rational level ( eg. anyone gets that people dying or being poor is not fun ), he fails to build any sort of emotional connection to other people and sometimes will not understand why someone will act a certain way. He often labels people he doesn’t get as being “irrational” and “hard to control”. Chisaki always managed to keep Eri in check because she was terrified of him, though he entirely failed to understand what she wanted. The bullets followed him because they admired him and because he made them good offers, however he never managed to find the right words persuade the followers of the former boss ( and he frankly didn’t try much either ). He also failed to understand why the league of villains still held a grudge against him, as he did not see why they would be so emotional about losing Magne.
Sparrow- what artistic or creative hobbies does your muse have? What is their favorite or most treasured creation?
So, as said above Chisaki is very uncreative and doesn’t really pursue creative hobbies. It he were to try to write he would come off as boring and uninspired and in fact he considers most artistic activities such as painting to be a waste of time
The most he ever has to make use of his creativity is when using his quirk. It requires him to visualise what he wants to make whenever he puts something back together. His lack of creativity actually greatly limits his usage of his own quirk because he fails to imagine something far too different from what he knows and thus comes up with very mundane things whenever he builds something with it. The most he ever applies it is on other people and when he does he makes use of his scientific knowledge to modify people the right way.
Hummingbird- what are your muse’s comfort objects, comfort foods, comfort objects, etc?
( already answered here )
Cardinal- how does your muse recover from strong emotions? How do they recouperate?
Chisaki likes to pride himself in not being a very emotional person. This is in part because other people’s emotions frequently bother him. He is about the last person you would want to come and cry to because he is absolutely incapable of empathise with other’s suffering and will at most feel annoyed that you’re unloading this onto him.
That is to say Chisaki still has a rich emotional life even though he doesn’t show it as openly as others. Usually when he is upset and the situation allows it, he will he go to a quiet place to calm down. Away from people and any sort of disturbance, and distract himself with something that makes sense like chess or a logic puzzle. It is a controlled environment to give him comfort.
However if the source of his upset requires a solution he will immediately take care of it, for he hates being emotionally unsettled and wants it out of the way as quickly as possible. This is especially bad when he is angry. It’s a cold and quite anger until in the blink of an eye he becomes extremely violent towards whoever is to blame. Giving people what they deserve does tend to ultimately calm him down as well.
