3. What’s your favourite line of narration?

You huff through your nose and, in an act of defiance, screw your eyes shut.

This unleashes a wave of panicked screaming.

I literally cannot overstate how much I love this part. Everyone knowing how El gets when she uses her powers too much and this bitch just goes ahead and tries to fry her own brain just to prove a point. Dumb Spiteful Bitch energy at its finest and I love it.

4. What’s your favourite line of dialogue?

“Hey uh, remember when I said they wouldn’t be stupid enough to go through Watergate? I overestimated them.”

“Okay, that’s just plain rude! […] I didn’t even go through the gate!”

“You know I think that might actually be worse.”

“Oh fuck off, Ed.”

I couldn’t tell you why but this just tickles me a lot.

7. Where did the title come from?

The first time you see the Creel house, I literally paused and shouted “What the fuck kinda Ravenloft bullshit?!”

You see I once had a DM that made us play through the Ravenloft supplemental campaign. The lich in there fucking murdered us. Total party wipe. But not before I busted into a locked room, saw something moving on top of a four poster bed and set it on fire only to discover that it was a spider nest. That was……. A lot of fire spiders crawling everywhere. (The DM apologized when he realized I was legit arachnophobia lol.)

And so when they start investigating the house and Steve finds the spiders in the vent I literally screamed. It’s absolutely supposed to be Ravenloft, but the funniest thing to me is that Vecna’s a part of the Greyhawk supplemental.

It’s also what motivated me to write a cleric-centric fic!

All my life I didn’t know I was hoping to hear this. I started writing when I was twelve and it was a shitty script-form Voices of a Distant Star fan fiction.
