so what i tried to convey here is like, abbey is a kid. she wants so desperately to be loved by her family and she wants their approval, but... she also. doesn’t want to hurt this creature? at all ? so basically she’s trying to decide between her need for reassurance and her morality. it didn’t come across very well. but.
