Hello Ravens and welcome to #mindfulmonday, where I try to, you guessed it, get you all to take 5 minutes for some Self Care.
Today I would like to keep it simple. We are under a waning crescent moon, which represents surrender.
It brings us a chance to recuperate and rest, as well as the knowledge that it’s okay to feel empty sometimes.
Take a deep breath and allow yourself to relax into the world around you, find in your heart the comfort of knowing we are all in this together and that while every struggle is unique in their own way, the collection of all of our experiences is vast and ripe with knowledge. In sharing what we know, we are better able to move forward and overcome that which weights us down.
I’m currently struggling with a deep sadness in my heart and an emptiness i find really hard to chase away.
Most of you know I had been so excited to have Shelby (the greyhound) over, and some of you know that I felt a deep connection to her in my soul since the first moment I met her. I felt in my heart she was to be my dog, and having her over only solidified that feeling.
Unfortunately it is not just my decision to make and I couldn’t keep her in the end.
It might seem like such a trivial thing to be broken over, but feelings are often like that, unexplainable and unexpected.
I’m allowing myself to feel my sadness and my emptiness, in the hopes that I’ll soon feel better.
What about you? What are you surrendering to today?
