Scenes From My Walk - Somewhere in the top of this tree is the 2nd Ravens’ Nests I have been following. I very clearly heard the chicks squawking for food and parents, and I saw the raven parents exit and return to the top of the tree - One with food in its beak. Scenes From My Walk - Is This A Raven’s Nest? I spent over half an hour by the tree with this potential nest. I was greeted with 2 different calls one was the higher pitched call the nesting ravens seem to use, the other was the common “Kaaw” squawk ravens are known for. I took photos of many parts of the tree and these were the closest to being a nest. This is near the top of the tree and the raven sounds were definitely from the top of the tree. After some time the raven flew off from the side opposite me. I took this as a sign to move on. I spent Wednesday evening photographing at Raven's Nest near Schoodic Point in Acadia National Park. It was bitter cold, but the light on the cliffs was amazing and the sky cooperated nicely with some soft feathery clouds.
