It’d been a while since Cloud had been to what was commonly known as Savior’s Respite, although finding out about the cliff and its name had been far, far easier than actually finding the path up to it. It’d taken him quite a long time to find the right way to get up to the top of the cliff, and the only reason that he had even managed it at all was because he had picked a spot along the uneven rock face and scaled it with a series of jumps until he’d finally found the actual path.
That had been a few weeks ago now, though. Today, he was sitting on a worn stone bench a few feet away from what seemed to be the path’s main ‘entrance’, so to speak. It was a pretty out-of-the-way area of the Ward, but he himself was out in the open. He was mostly just watching people stroll right past the path while he ate lunch; if any of them noticed the little walkway, they didn’t react to it at all.
At least not for the first fifteen or so minutes.
Eventually, a young purple haired girl stopped along her travels to peer cautiously around the plain wooden planks that lead towards the cliff path. She seemed a bit uncertain, from what he could tell; but it was a lot more interest than anyone else had shown so far.
Purple hair. It’d been a long while since he’d seen that. Different girl, for better or worse. Maybe... better.
“Do you know where that goes to?” he called out to the young lady. Of course, it rather looked like she didn’t, but she might have at least heard of it before. She might be looking for it, herself. “They call it Savior’s Respite.”
