Not certain who said it as it was ages ago but in one of the many, many 'will buddie ever be canon?' Talks, someone said that as Eddie and Buck are the last two not tied down, the show likely wouldn't want to pair them up as them everyone is paired up and thst can limit story options.

Which I thought was a fair point at the time but since then, Ravi has become more of a character (was he always meant to be or was it the warm response to him in jinx that meant he stayed?) And Albert becoming a firefighter, can't they be the young guys dating around?

Oliver and Albert have both said that Albert is similar to Buck 1.0 so Buck maturing into a long term relationship with Eddie as a step parent could be a nice way of showing that they are at different points of the journey, how much Buck has developed since season 1.

So, yeah, I know adding characters can make things squished for time but maybe Ravi and Albert are gonna help buddie go canon?
