Yitzhak from 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch' is a Grey-A who has a penchant for kissing!
Hedwig gives Skszp the nickname Sisyphus (because she can actually remember that name and feels smart since none of the bandmates own up to getting the reference, since they want Hedwig to feel pleased with herself, which she inevitably does.) :)
u kno yitz does tho bc he a lil bitch
Hedwig is 10 minutes late to her own concert (due to something silly like deciding she had enough time to get Starbucks or something) and Yitzhak decides to keep the crowd entertained by telling cheesy dad jokes and making bad puns until Hedwig arrives, and all the elderly people at the salad bar actually end up loving Yitzhak’s dorky humor!
>implying yitzhak isnt taking every opportunity to belt his ass off
>implying yitzhak isnt diva of the year
Hedwig is trying to read sheet music because Yitzhak isn’t around to do it for her. She ends up getting really frustrated and can’t figure out why the composer would use so many hashtags each time she sees the sharp sign!
hedwig writing lyrics phonetically and no one else being able to understand wtf she wrote down
I love your interpretation! :) I never thought of it like that, but that's a really interesting way of looking at it! :) I should really be doing homework, but here's another one: Which do you prefer, the film or the stage version(s) and why? :)
i wish i was better at explaining i have a lot of thoughts about this show tho
stage v film: theyre so different thoooooooo (prob the stage version mostly bc yitzhak and also i started there)
I should be doing tons of homework, which is why I'm trying to shoo myself away from talking to you, but I really want to hear people's interpretations of the ending of Hedwig (the film as well as the stage production(s)) especially since my friend and I have been discussing it for a few weeks now, and I've become entirely fascinated by everyone's interpretation of the ending, so if you'd be cool with telling me what you think of it, please do! :) Also I'm excited since I love talking Hedwig! :)
i mean so many people think tommy and hedwig are the same person but i think thats over simplifying it. hedwig made tommy into the same person, and she tried so hard to get what she wanted (from an "other half") from him but he wasnt it. like she says before wicked little town that that song is meant for a guy to sing and u could say it means shes not meant o be a woman but IMO its more what she wants from a guy, yk? (and he gets it and gives her that in the reprise). ABSICALL Y hedwig needed to be told that she can be herself, whatever that is, without someone else defining it. (thats what tommy says) so then shes like omg u rite imma do me, and she passes it to yitzhak (like, literally)
I don't have enough time to talk lots about Hedwig head cannons right now, but as soon as I can, would you be cool with me bombarding you with a massive amount of them (since I have tons)? :) (I've been making posts for them, but I still have so many I haven't talked to anyone about...) :) But yeah, Demisexual Hedwig is something I agree with, (and I see Yitzhak as Grey-A who has much more of a penchant for kissing)! :)
aBSOLUTELY PLS HMU ALL THE TIME I LOVE TALKING TO PEOPLE
