Do not drink raw date palm juice in winter. Drinking raw juice can lead to infection with Nipah virus.
No, not ice cream sherbet! Just the foam floating on top of fresh vegetable/fruit juice after being extracted from the juice machine. 🙂
Tip #5
How much “green” is in your “green drink”?
I just want to put it out there that “going green” in your diet isn’t inherently good for you. Simply switching to green drinks isn’t going to put you at a healthy weight or get rid of your cold. It is also very frustrating to employees when you simply ask for a green drink. It’s even worse when you ask, “which of your drinks are green?”
The Evergreen, for example, is a drink at Juice It Up that is only green due to a minuscule addition of spinach and kale. It doesn’t take very much to change the color of the drink. Guess what else is in your drink!
Lemonade (high in sugar)
Apple juice (high in sugar)
Lime sherbet (high in sugar)
Pineapple sherbet (high in sugar)
Frozen pineapple (moderate in sugar)
Out of 32oz for a large Everygreen the spinach and kale makes up at most the last 2oz (6.25%). That’s assuming the employee made exactly enough for your drink. If they made 40oz by accident, the last 2oz of those 40oz are spinach and kale (5%).
In green raw juices, again, it’s only spinach and/or kale making it green, and for most drinks at most sizes, less than 7% of your juice is made up of green ingredients.
Stop asking for green drinks just because they’re green.
