Liquids matter. First off, lemon juice, honestly should never be a primary liquid you use when mixing your henna and Ayurvedic hair cafe recipes regardless of your hair type and texture. It’s drying!!!! Using more gentle liquids like distilled water, green tea or acv are way better for the overall health of your hair. You don’t want to dry your hair out as that leads to breakage and damage. What about other liquids? Liquids we deem “heavy” liquids. Such as coconut oil, conditioner, yoghurt, onions, coconut milk, eggs, shea butter and cocoa butter. When is it okay to use those heavier liquids in your recipe? Heavy liquids are great when you’re primary focus isn’t color results or grey coverage. These heavier liquids focus more so on the creation of a deep, nourishing conditioning treatment and other benefits depending on what you’re using. It’s because these heavier type of liquids will stretch your henna and ayurvedic hair treatments out. Making them slightly less strong, depending of course on how much of each that you add. What is your hair focus and what liquid(s) do you mix your henna and/or Ayurvedic hair cafe recipes with? . . . Side note: stay tuned!!
