Promo of Fallon and Zorelli.
I love this divorced a-hole detective with sex addiction and drug kingpin’s exotic dancer baby mama who fell for her mark
Jackie and Ray’s friendship is so great sometimes. And Jackie really has the best lines 😂
Father Figure..
I think what the writers are going for with Jackie and Leslie, now that it's playing out more, is the comparison and contrast of having two different types of fathers and what they have created as daughters.
Leslie represents the stability. She has the characteristics of a "father" or parents that Jackie never had. I think they are writing Leslie to take over that fatherly position of "Ed" for Jackie. Jackie gravitates towards these characteristics.
Jackie fell apart and what got her back on track, Leslie. The character growth is showing up a little too in that, instead of getting drunk and being with another woman, she went to Ray. Leslie put her back on track.
No woman is going to compare to Leslie now.
Leslie represents the stability of the show, and people like Jackie and Ray, who are not stable nor ready to come to terms with their mental health, come into her path, and struggle with her because they are not ready to be healed yet.
