i dont really get it. when i said very calmly that i didnt like ray, i got death threats for 3 weeks. you say it, everyones so sweet and civil. how do you do it

I..... have no clue. I was totally expecting to, since I've seen a lot of aggression in this fanbase. Just know now that a lot of people agree with you! And, like, if it happens again, just be like "Nope, not dealing with this again. I'm allowed to have opinions and I'm not wishing him death or anything, so you can buzz off." 99% guaranteed to make you feel better.

About the Ray thing, I'm kind of with you there. I used to really like Ray (I still do but I like the others more now) and he's not really into some of the games he plays (Mainly minecraft is where I notice it the most) but it seems like his jokes are kind of the same thing over and over now. Trust me, I'd be sad if he left but I wouldn't mind if he tried to enjoy himself while playing the games.

Yeah, it must be hard to play the same game for hours every week and keep up the same enthusiasm for it. I give them all props for trying, though.On a side note, I've got assignments to complete so I'm stopping this conversation for now. Thanks for not making me feel bad for having opinions!

I love everyone in RT and AH but I do have to agree that some of the things Ray says are upsetting, I still love the guy but I sometimes want to punch him in the face.

Eh, words don't deserve violence but yeah, his humour gets quite wearing.

wait do you happen to know what videos he's said those things in/what he said exactly? (im sorry if this is a kind of stupid question, i havent really had time to watch the more recent videos and tbh i dont really remember about the ones that i have watched,,)

Uh, I was kind of referring to these things in general. Like, I'm not talking about only recent videos, but the things he's said in all of his years there. I think you can hear subtle jokes in almost any LP he's in, actually, once you're kind of sensitive to them. Like, I can remember a definite transphobic joke in a Minecraft LP a few months back. Once you question what he says instead of automatically laughing, you can notice his insinuations. I'm not saying he's transphobic, homophobic, etc., I just think he's careless.

When you get as much hate as ray does you start to not give a shit anymore

I was actually supposed to put "Which is somewhat understandable" in there, but I apparently forgot. But yeah, I'm disappointed that he hates a lot of the audience, but I understand it. I still don't think that's an acceptable reason to target specific fans but hey, I'm not in his position. He can do whatever he wants with his internet power- I just wish he was a little more responsible with it.

All I can say is 100000000 points to you for being nice about your dislike for someone compared to most people who are unnecessarily rude about their dislike. Congrats on being an actual nice person

Ah man, thanks a lot. If I was a YouTuber, I'd just disable comments altogether (if that's an option) and tell people to leave criticism on another site. I find that on Youtube, you can quickly just type in some hate and forget about it, whereas leaving thoughts on another site means you have to make more of an effort. There's no point in just spouting nonsense that'll make someone else either feel bad or look negatively towards the rest of the fanbase.

He’s my super problematic fave. I am finding him more problematic than fave lately. Ugh.

It seems that way. He's super funny a lot of the time, and can play games well, but I just find that I'm not as tense when he's not in a Let's Play.
