TUMBLR has always been my safe space. It's the one place where I can vent out my thoughts and feelings freely.
The past few years, my country has been in shambles. It's not just because of the pandemic and the war. They added a lot to it, but it's been chaos even before.
This year's presidential elections really brought home everything. Before, if an automated vote counting machine is down, people would leave their ballots with the officials, sign a waiver and TRUST that their votes would be counted.
TRUST. This is the thing that people now lack in this country. Voters would rather wait several hours than to leave their ballots to so called officials because they are afraid to be cheated. This is what the outgoing administration taught us. They ruined everything we believed in with their spread of lies and smear campaigns. Fake and unverified news became the main source of information. Historical revisionism became the trend. Trust no one but yourself.
This is how we are going to live if their lies prevails this election...it's a daunting concept...
We want CHANGE. Hope we are granted this...
