We made a Sigilyph double chocolate cookie cake for Disability Pride Month! 💖
I love baking up Pokemon Pride desserts, and Disability Pride is no different! So many Pokemon fans are also members of this community or may be in the future (myself included!) and that's worth celebrating and honouring.
The disability pride flag represents people with:
❤️ physical disabilities
💛 cognitive and intellectual disabilities
🤍 nonvisible and undiagnosed disabilities
💙 psychiatric disabilities
💚 sensory disabilities
🖤 and those we've lost
We should strive to build a community and a world for everyone. I love the ways fans have imagined how Pokemon could help folks with disabilities (I imagine Sigilyph guarding vulnerable members of its community since ancient times) and I hope we can continue to bring that energy into the real world, too.
