Watching that scene from The Founder where Kroc explains the importance of using the McDonald name, I can't help but notice the irony in him deriding the idea of a product called "Kroc's", when at the time of the film's making, Crocs shoes were already popular and well-known. I dunno if that exchange actually happened or if the writers just made up everything about it, but maybe it could mean something; Like maybe it proves that Kroc's theft and cruelty towards the McDonald brothers really was pointless, just like establishing his own restaurant next to their original one was. He never needed to go that far, but like so many others, he insists in an almost insecure way on stealing well past the 'necessary' point.
