My family has a very peculiar last name and so since i was little i was taught that whoever bore our last name had a 99% chance of being a relative somehow which is why i thought that's how it worked with all lastnames, SO up until i was around seventeen i wholeheartedly believed the wilson brothers from the beach boys were cousins or something with the wilson sisters from heart (including lynn), that sid from slipknot and ray (former genesis) were maybe their nephews, hell i even though tom hanks' wife rita was also related to them 🤣

Ray Wilson is certainly one of the greatest guys in rock. And certainly one of the best voices out there. And he’s keeping us company in these tough times.

And I think, we can return the favour. Right now, many of our favourite artists struggle because they can’t perform in front of an audience. We can support them by buying their music (and I can guarantee that you won’t regret getting Ray’s albums). But we can also support them simply by getting the word out and making their work more well known.   

I don’t know Ray personally, of course. Even though I “met” him twice. The first time in 1998 when he was touring with Genesis and he went into the audience and I was able to pat him on the shoulder. Some years later I “met” him again after a show he played in my hometown. And after the show I thanked him and he patted my shoulder.

But I “know” him through his music. This is not one of his songs but a cover version of Neil Young’s “Long May You Run”.
