Bourbon Crow Exit/In Nashville, TN 2017 (Photos by me. If used please credit.)
January 19th, 2017 Undead Unplugged USA Tour
It’s been a week and I’m still feeling it. This was such a fun night, I loved seeing Wednesday13 do an acoustic set and just really engage with the audience. Bourbon Crow was a lot of fun too. After the show I stuck around and while I waited in line, Rayen Belchere (the other half of Bourbon Crow) came up to me. He complimented my hat (and knew exactly that it was inspired by the umbrella W13 brings out when he performs I Love To Say Fuck) and thanked me for being there. Not too many people gave a fuck about BC’s set even though it was Wednesday 13’s other band, it was a little upsetting but still major fun.
I got the shakes when I met Wednesday. He’s been an idol of mine since I was just twelve years old and to finally meet him was incredible - he’s such a nice guy and so personable. He made time for every fan to tell him their stories about going to previous shows (my mom made sure to tell him he scared her at the first show I took her to during the And Bloodshed For All Tour) or to even just talk about random things.
Next was Roman Surman (W13’s guitarist). I went up to him and right away told him the uncoolest thing ever - I cried like a baby after I said hi to him two hours before the show. He hugged me and apologized for not coming back to talk but they were running late, which I figured by the look on his and W13’s faces. We took a few pictures together, he let basically play with his hair…we made a few jokes and then he hugged me at least ten times. The last exchange we had went like this (as we were hugging): Me: You’re my favourite guitarist, Roman. Roman: And you’re my favourite guitarist! Me: I fucking love you man. Roman: I love you too!
I’ve never smiled or had as much fun as I did at this show. It was the greatest. For being the first big name show I attended, it definitely set the bar pretty high for future shows to come! 10/10
