The moment the team found Leonard Snart alive, Ray couldn’t help feeling jubilant.
This time, it is the proper Snart – as in post-Oculus Snart.
The Leonard Snart who is a real hero.
Ray watches the different reactions to Leonard’s return.
Nate and Amaya are on the fringe of the room, not wanting to get in the way because they don’t know him but the celebratory atmosphere draws them anyways.
Jax is excited and happy to have him back as they had a decent relationship before.
Stein is concerned about what Snart went through but Ray catches the slight smile because the good professor too, remembered what Mick was like after his partner died.
Rip is similar to Stein but there’s a good measure of guilt mixed in his expression as he looks between Leonard and Mick.
The moment Sara saw Leonard and accepted his return, she punches him in the shoulder.
Ray knows they were close before his death.
It’s Mick’s reaction that interests Ray the most.
Neither man said a word but their embrace spoke of their closeness and how Leonard’s death/absence from the team affected them.
As for Ray, he doesn’t know how he feels until several days had passed and he had time to process everything.
Of course, he is jubilant about finding their Leonard alive but it gives way to guilt because he was the one who was supposed to die, to anxiousness because he doesn’t know what this means for his partnership turned friendship with Mick.
Ray returned the cold gun to Mick’s possession once Leonard distracted him long enough.
After all, he only borrowed the gun for a brief time.
Now Ray is in his lab and trying to work on his suit but he can’t get Leonard Snart off of his mind.
“Hello Raymond.”
The voice startles him just enough to drop the tool on the ground as he spun around.
“Ah, Snart. What can I do for you?”
Leonard arches an eyebrow at Ray as he leans against the doorframe.
“And here I thought we were closer than that. I thought you would have been more jubilant about my return.”
Snart smirks as he watches Ray struggle for words.
“I was! I mean, I am. Just figured you’d wanna catch up with Mick and Sara.”
Moving closer to Ray, he lets his eyes wander over Ray’s body, taking in the changes since the last time they say each other.
Summary: Team Legends learn why they only use candy as a weapon as a last result and never against fellow legends. Though, certain members find out the end results work out to their advantage. Mick just wishes the team would leave the good candy alone.

Team Legends don’t have a lot of rules, mostly because they’d put a cramp on their style.
However, there are a few they’ve decided are worth following.
One such rule is only use candy as a weapon as a last result and never against fellow legends.
Most people would assume this is related to fighting time pirates or other assorted bad guys the team comes across during their mission to protect history.
Most people would be wrong.
The rule came about from the Great Waverider Prank War.
Gideon still holds a grudge against the team for the candy that got into her systems.
For the most part, it was all in good fun.
Mick just wishes the team would leave the good candy alone.
Until Leonard made a terrible mistake.
He messed with Ray’s supersuit.
In Leonard’s opinion, Ray was being extra annoying talking about upgrades he wants to make to the suit with Cisco’s help.
He thought there was too much talking about Cisco and not enough about the suit.
Sara was quick to point out how jealous he sounded.
Leonard Snart is not jealous especially about a nerd, over a nerd.
One night, Leonard gets Gideon to fabricate a couple cans of spray paint to give the suit a colorful makeover.
Neon Red and Orange make for a drastic change.
Ray swears revenge on the person who messed with his suit.
It takes him several days to figure out who did it and how he wants to get back at the person.
The idea strikes him one day when he’s in the kitchen and Mick enters eating some of the candy the team stocked up on the last time they were home.
Ray wakes up early the next morning to steal some chocolate.
After melting the candy, he waits until Leonard leaves his room before sneaking in to put the chocolate in the pockets on his parka.
The next time Leonard wears his parka is on a mission and half way through, he sticks his hands in them and is caught off guard by the chocolate.
Despite his codename, the heat from his fingers melts the chocolate just enough for some of it come off.
His mind doesn’t go to melted chocolate.
The war escalates to the point where Ray rigs up a Rube Goldberg machine that weaves around the ship and included several candy elements including the final piece where hundreds of pieces of jolly ranchers are dropped from a net right about Leonard’s bed in the middle of the night.
Leonard sits up and glares at the ceiling.
“Damn it, Raymond.”
Climbing out of bed, he turns on the light and frowns at the sight of his bed covered in candy.
He leaves his room and barges into Ray’s.
“Uh, can I help you Leonard?”
Ray rubs his eyes as he tries to wake up enough to figure out what is going on.
“I was rudely awakened by candy falling on me and covering my bed. Since I can’t sleep there now and it’s your fault, you get to share your bed with me.”
Leonard doesn’t give him time to react.
Pulling back the covers, Leonard is relieved that Ray’s close to the wall because that means he doesn’t have to force him to move over.
The next ten minutes involve lots of moving and shoving along with some arguing as they both try to get comfortable.
What neither man expects is to wake up in a romantically compromising position.
Leonard lays on his side with his back to Ray who has an arm wrapped tightly around Leonard’s waist and his face buried in his neck.
Squirming for a few moments, Leonard sighs.
Ray’s arm keeping holding onto him tightly and in place.
Though, it doesn’t take him long to wake up and realize he’s not alone in his bed.
“Snart? You’re really in my bed! I thought I was dreaming.”
Leonard smirks.
“If you wanted me to sleep with you, you should have just said something, Raymond.”
Ray lets him go but he decides enough is enough.
The team is going to meet up with Team Flash sooner rather than later so what would be better than to get ahead of his little problem so Cisco doesn’t get any ideas of stealing what is his.
Before Ray is able to get out of bed by climbing over Leonard, the other man grabs him and kisses him.
Leonard pulls away and smirks at him again.
“You know, I could think of better uses for melted chocolate, Raymond….”
What is it about Ray Palmer that he couldn’t resist?
Nate watches Ray move around the Waverider’s bridge while talking to Dr. Stein and Jax.
The careless way he runs a hand through his hair, the smiles given to anyone and everyone freely.
Sometimes, he felt foolish for having romantic feelings for the genius because he is way out of Nate’s league.
Ray is so good and wouldn’t mean to break anyone’s heart.
Yet, as he watches him, Nate can’t help feeling like his heart is breaking because Ray will never see him the way Nate dreams he would.
Nate tears his eyes away.
It’s a struggle to be Ray’s friend but he can’t imagine giving up any closeness with the other man or the hurt he could cause him by pulling away after all of this time.
However, it’s not Ray’s problem to deal with his unrequited feelings.
Nate walks out of the room, unaware of Ray’s gaze following him as he left and the sad smile that blossomed on his face.
Ray knows it’s better to have Nate as friend than nothing at all.
Besides, everyone he’s loved romantically has left him, one way or another, so if he keeps Nate as his friend, then maybe…just maybe, he won’t leave Ray.
He doesn’t know if he can take anyone else leaving him.
These foolish games were going to end in disaster.
ray/kendra + coffee shop au - "he comes everyday and always tips more than he should"
{Read on Ao3}
"He comes every day and always tips more than heshould,” comments Kendra during the lull between waves of customers at Jitters.
Iris laughs because it’s so obvious to her what is goingon.
Looking around, Kendra gestures for her friend to comecloser which Iris does.
“The coffee is good here but it’s not that good.”
Shaking her head, Iris tries to clamp down on her laughterbecause they didn’t need to catch the attention of the patrons.
“Oh babe, you really don’t get it do you?”
Kendra tilts her head to the side.
“What do you mean?”
“Just give it time,it will come to you.”
Iris pats her hand before walking off to take care of thecustomers as Kendra frowns at her back.
Something tells Iris that there is more amusement to come.
The next day the tall and handsome man enters Jitters, Iriswatches him look around the coffee shop before smiling when his eyes land onKendra working behind the counter.
So she simply moves to where she could watch them.
“Welcome to Jitters. What can I get for you today?” asksKendra as she greets the not-really-a-stranger stranger.
“I’ll have a medium red eye to go.” He replies.
Kendra grabs the right sized coffee cup and a maker.
“The name’s Ray.”
He grins brightly at her as she writes his name on the cupthen hands it over to the barista making the drinks.
Kendra rings him up and Ray hands over the correct amount.
With his wallet still out, he grabs a twenty-dollar billand places it in the tip jar.
Then Ray smiles brightly at Kendra.
“See you around, Kendra.”
She’s too flabbergasted to do anything but smile at himbefore helping the next customer though her eyes follow Ray’s progress to thepick-up area.
In that moment, from where she stands, Iris decides nexttime she’s going to do something to help the two of them out because that waspainful to watch and her girl, Kendra deserves better than that.
Like clock-work, Ray arrives for his daily cup of coffeethe following morning.
Kendra took the morning off for a dentist appointment soIris is working the cash register when he comes in.
Iris smirks to herself as she sees him frown indisappointment.
“You know, I didn’t think that our coffee is good enoughfor repeat purchases every day but I guess some people just need their dailycaffeine fix.”
Ray rubs the back of his neck sheepishly.
“Is it that obvious?” he asks.
“Not everyone tips more than several cups of coffee in onego.”
Iris smiles then shakes her head.
“Kendra hasn’t put two and two together if that’s whatyou’re really asking about.”
Ray chuckles.
“I’m not sure if that’s a good or a bad thing.”
“Maybe, you could give her a little hint tomorrow.” Iriscomments as she takes his order.
He pays for his coffee then places a ten in the tip jar.
Iris looks at him.
“What? Just because one barista has caught my attentiondoesn’t mean I can’t show my appreciation for all of the other wonderfulbaristas who work here.”
Iris laughs then shoes him off to the pick-up area.
He seems like a good guy and her bestie definitely deservedsomeone who would appreciate her.
Iris decides she’d see what Barry could find out about him;after all, her boyfriend couldn’t resist her charms.
The next morning passes without an appearance from Ray andKendra can’t help feeling concerned because he’s been predictable in appearingsometime in the morning.
“Relax girl, I’m sure your guy is fine.”
Kendra’s eyes widen as she opens and closes her mouth, trying to respond to Iris’ comment.
“He’s not my guy!”
Iris smirks at her best friend.
“But you want him to be.”
Kendra pauses for a moment.
“I’d like to get to know him, I think.” States Kendra.
“Fair enough. I still don’t think you should panic yetabout him not showing up. It was bound to happen eventually,” comments Iris.
“You’re right. It’s not like he’s Superman or anything.”
Lunch rolls around and with it, comes the usual rush andKendra isn’t focusing on a single person when Iris nudges her in the side.
“Outside. Front door.”
Kendra’s eyes wander over there and she smiles when shesees Ray standing there.
He enters Jitters then gets in line while looking forsomething in his wallet.
Returning to the customer in front of her, Kendra forcesherself to concentrate.
Fifteen minutes later, Ray stands before her with a grin onhis face.
“Hey Kendra. How’s it going?”
“Things are great, now. I was surprised when I didn’t seeyou this morning.”
“My car is in the shop so a friend drove me to work andalready bought our morning coffee.”
Kendra’s smile widens as she feels relief that nothingserious happened to him.
“I’ll have my usual, thanks.”
“Of course.”
As he hands over the money for his coffee, she notices thatthere’s something else with it but before she can say anything to him, he’salready put his usual tip into the jar and walked off.
Separating the cash out, Kendra’s surprised to see a cardmixed in.
She turns it over and reads his name along with his phonenumber on it.
Looking up, she catches Ray’s eye and smiles while hopingshe’s not blushing.
“What do you have there?”
Iris’ sudden appearance causes Kendra to jump slightly.
Kendra tries to move the card away before Iris can get herhands on it but her best friend is faster.
“Ooh! Are you going to call him?”
Ray catches the ladies’ eyes and waves with his free handas he leaves Jitters and they wave in response.
A warm feeling blossoms in Kendra’s chest as she takes thecard back.
“Yes, I definitely will give him a call later.”
As she wanders into the backroom to secure the card in herbag, Iris smirks.
“It’s about damn time.”
Who knows, she and Barry may have a new couple to doubledate with in the future.

34. “Is there a reason you’re naked in my bed?” [any LoT Pair]
“Is there a reasonyou’re naked in my bed?”
Of all the people on theteam Ray knows could potentially end up naked and in his bed, he never thoughtit would be Jax. Not that he has a problem with it, ‘cause he doesn’t.
Ray is just confused andconcerned for Jax’s wellbeing.
“It’s all Grey’s fault.”
Jax continues to lie onhis stomach with his face buried in Ray’s pillow.
Shifting slightly, Raytries to look anywhere but at Jax in his bed, naked – so he can keep his cool.
“I wasn’t about to hideout in Mick or Sara’s rooms.”
Ray realizes that hedoes have a point especially about Sara. No one goes into Sara’s room withoutpermission ever since Nate accidentally did and he claims he’s never been thesame. Though, Ray has more sense and faith in Sara than to believe Natecompletely.
“Fair point. You need meto get you clothes or would you rather borrow mine?”
Jax turns over to faceRay then smirks.
“Why? You don’t like melike this?”
Ray tries to saysomething but nothing comes out of his mouth.
Clearly, there was moreto Jefferson Jackson than meets the eye.
“Are you planning tostay here then?”
Placing his arms behindhis head as he lays on his back, Jax grins.
“Yeah, I think I will.Your room is probably a good place to lay low until the embarrassment passes.”
Rays shrugs, it would benice to spend more time with Jax.
“So what actually didMartin do that ended up with you naked in my bed?”
Jax sighs.
“Let’s just say, weshould pay more attention to where we are when we separate especially whenwe’ve been using our powers.”
“Your clothes caught onfire didn’t they and you had to remove them before you were burned.”
“Yeah. Grey escaped theembarrassment too.”
A thought suddenly occursto Ray as he leans against his desk.
“There are several otherrooms in-between the entrance to the Waverider and my room.”
Jax refuses to look atRay or explain causing him to laugh lightly.
“Move over at least. Iwas planning to nap and you’re not going to change that.”
Jax does as told so heends up laying between Ray and the wall. Then Ray makes himself comfortable onthe bed.
“Gideon, please closethe door and turn off the lights. Only wake us up if there’s a mission or itstime to eat.”
“Of course, Dr. Palmer.”
The lights shut off thesame moment the door closes.
“Are you alright withthis, Jax?”
“Yeah, dude. It means Imiss out on a lecture from Grey. I could use the nap.”
They settle in for theirnap, neither man feeling uncomfortable with the situation.
This isn’t how either ofthem plan to spend the rest of their or at least, a good portion but it works.
After all, there issomething comforting about sleeping next to someone – naked or not.
