hi wonderful friends, my first fic outside of the driving scene is officially finished! i cannot believe how many words this fucking thing became, but tbh i do not think i could have shortened it even the littlest bit lmao.

this fic was a journey not only with creating this spicy version of lando + oscar, but how much html/formatting work was needed to make it the most readable thing possible. never again do i want to do this HAHAHA but i'm glad i got myself out of my usual writing comfort zone to make something so incredibly fun.

hello just wanted to scream some love at you since I read rays on the waves in one day and haven't been able to stop thinking about it.

im always particularly impressed/enamoured by fics that have so much complexity and nuance which is somehow all addressed so well amongst the most perfect pacing, and GOD did you do that.

their characters were so perfect. i was so hooked i literally couldn't put my phone down!!!!

im sorta sat here wondering how much you plan. it just seemed so well thought-out! <3

hello!! AAAAA thank you so much!! it was so fucking fun to write, particularly because i really enjoyed embodying each driver/character in different ways and different texting styles. it was something i never thought i would enjoy so much when trying to write a chatfic!!

i planned the FUCK out of this fic it’s actually ridiculous. full character backstories, learning the timezones according to certain months in brisbane vs london, learning about queensland and if they have fucking sea lions, and most importantly: learning everything about how a diving career works bc i had no idea how it worked lol i never realised there were stages in getting a diving certificate????

just did a word count of my notes doc where i planned the fic, with adjustments done over time, and it’s 3k words lmaooo it’s a messy ass document but it’s so funny to see how fucked up plan is, only for me to turn it into something coherent for everyone to read
