kris doesnt hate tenna

just as queen is to carol for noelle, tenna is to asgore for kris. a (divorced) adult figure who tries to take on a parental role in kris's life but has been absent too long (due to being unplugged for tenna) and doesn't fully understand what kris Needs, despite their best intentions.

asgore hugs kris even though he knows kris doesn't like that. tenna tries to get kris to smile even though they clearly don't want to. they both are pushing their own wants onto kris. with good intentions, mind! but also with selfish desires at heart. they're acting like they're thinking of kris, but they're really doing what THEY want

i imagine kris feels conflicted around tenna. he reminds them of the past, he's trying too hard to get things back to the way they were. just like asgore is. but the past can't be recreated, it can only be remembered. and kris is in so much pain from the divorce and dess going missing that they don't seem to want to do that either

tenna needs to learn to accept kris as they are now, if he wants to connect with them. i wonder if chapter 5 will have asgore being forced to confront that idea too

okay yes Bruce definitely has issues surrounding anger but it's not in the "he gets so angry that he can't control himself" kinda way.

It's in the "he's so terrified of his own anger that when he gets angry he dissociates and his alter/headmate Hulk takes control, and Hulk is just a kid and so when people are scared of him and treat him like a threat he doesn't understand what's going on, and tries to fight back and of course if you give an angry little kid the power to level a city block and then point a tank at him, he will probably end up smashing a lot of stuff. " kinda way.

All this ides of March talk is making me nostalgic for when I worked backstage during my colleges performance of Julius Ceasar by Shakespeare. I got to watch them kill Ceasar like over 30 times.

Like if a human gets to heaven the most they can hope for is reliving happy memories in a state of peace, but there is no progression, no changing, no capacity to be even better than they were on earth.

But in hell?? Oh, the capacity for evil within human souls is limitless. They can be broken and twisted and become so much worse.

Still uncertain of her design 100%, there was no colour that really matched her skin tone fully. I tried quite a few colours in different markings to see the interaction, but decided I really wanted to stick to vipera because the markings vaguely remind me of her tattoos. Bee secondary is still up in the air, along with the colour for her tert. Perma baby because despite being the same age group as the gang, she’s a teeny tiny bosmer so I figured permababy would reflect that well heheh

thinking about spamton and the pipis

i feel like the implication of them is less that spamton is their dad and more theyre an extension of him. he gives one away to noelle first, calling it "world's first charity". this would be weird to do if it were a capital b Baby like the fandom seems to want it to be. at the very most it's like giving someone a plant as a gift, or maybe a puppy.

the pipis you acquire from him in the snowgrave route also chirps in the Z rank room and "dies" if you eat it. this means tenna's pipis isn't "special" so much in the way that it's Alive, but there is still the fact that it's weird he keeps his. so why?

well, i really like the idea that theyre a type of virus he creates. he uses them as weapons and gifts, and that would explain why its weird tenna holds onto the one spamton gave him LMAO. tenna is a crt television from like the 50s or 60s most likely, and cathode ray tube tv's don't have the processing power to even GET a virus. he would literally just be holding onto it because spamton gave it to him and he loves it.

i think it's very funny when the fandom pretends the pipis is a baby, having tenna dress it up and pose for photos with it and whatnot, and he probably does do that. but in my opinion, it's really not meant to be a baby. it's probably along the same lines as spamton's F1 mini-me's — tiny extensions of himself he can create at will.

im thinking about how spamton comes across as a huge fucking copycat its so insane.

he steals swatch's glasses theme, which swatch even comments on being a look people try to cop; he uses leitmotifs in tennas battle music in his own battle music; he wears a similar red suit to tenna in his backstory depictions; he takes some of the battle theme for Mike (Catswing) for his theme song when you meet him; his HEY EVERY theme also sounds exactly like tenna's "MR ANT TENNAS... T... V... TIME!!". and this doesnt even TOUCH on how he literally leaned entirely on a force beyond his understanding to be a big shot.

which a lot of this could be read as him being connected to tenna and crew because he worked with them and they all share similarities with each other, but i think it also makes sense for him since hes fucking spam email. spam email is a phishing scam that copies real email formats to trick and manipulate people. and obviously i dont think spamton is inherently bad or anything. the form hes been assigned doesnt define him, and also he obviously hates the fate hes been given and wants to escape to a world where he can live outside the machinations the prophecy and the dark world have decided for him. but also hes a scammer, its his whole deal.

just like how tenna is a tv and has built-in related flaws he has to overcome (tv is good at talking, and not so much at listening IM GONNA THROW UP), spamton naturally seems to lean towards trying to be like others in order to reach success and fulfillment because be doesnt believe that he as himself is good enough. he sees others "succeeding" at their roles and wants that for himself too. a scammer doesnt try to trick their audience to listen in if they have anything to sell that they believed people would just Want. hes cripplingly insecure and is overcompensating by copping what other people have. im killing myself.
