It has never been exactly unknown that you have fancied Ryan Haywood around the Achievement Hunter office. Even from the day that you were employed as an intern there, almost five months ago, people could tell that you fancied the man. Everything about him drew you in at first sight - his eyes, his smile, his voice, and even his light and airy hair that you longed to run your hands through every time you saw it. For you to simply walk through the office when he was around and not make the fact obvious would be a rare occurrence more scarce than a spider jockey in Minecraft. You simply couldn’t help staring at him, or blushing a bit when he spoke to you, or laughing a bit too hard at his jokes while other people were around. It’s not like you aren’t trying to be better about it either. It’s just impossible for you, and it just happens to occur whenever people are around you.
After weeks and weeks of this, your fellow employees without you knowing were beginning to grow tired of seeing you just simply fawn over him without anything interesting happening in result. They care for you too much and know your love for Ryan is something more important to you than anything to simply stand there watching you get nothing in return. So, one day after you finish editing an RT life episode featuring none other than the man in question himself, you get ambushed by none other than Lindsay Tuggey by the coffee machine. She bounces up to you and flashes you a broad smile, nearly making you instantly grow suspicious.
“Hi friend,” she says to you happily, reaching to get her own cup of coffee. You smile back at her and return the greeting politely. “Are you doing anything tonight?” Looking up away from your coffee, you stop what you are doing and give Lindsay a quizzical glance. “Tonight? No, why?” “Well,” she begins, “the entire Achievement Hunter group and a couple of the other office workers are heading out to a bar and we just were wondering if you’d like to come join us out on the town. You know, for a little fun and enjoyment. It’s usually a blast, and if you get too hammered we can always send you home with Ray or Ryan.” “Ryan?” You ask in confusion. “Ryan doesn’t drink?” “Not enough to be unable to drive, no. He’s more into outings like this for the conversation. We’re honestly just lucky to hang out with him outside of work anyway, so we don’t really question his choices when he does go. So, anyway, are you in for tonight? Please please please please!”
Taking a moment to think, you can’t really see a downside to going other than the chance of being incredibly hung over the next day, something you simply despised beyond belief but were willing to deal with if it meant a good night. Ryan is going to be there, and if you’re lucky, he might just get drunk enough to get a bit needy and need a shoulder to lean on. A shoulder you are all too willing to give him at his beck and call. “Okay,” you say, making your decision in your mind final. “I’ll go.” Lindsay’s face lights up at this. “Yay! Okay, sweet, I’ll tell everyone! See you then!” With a small wave, Lindsay grabs her cup of coffee and then scurries out of the room, leaving you and your coffee to yourselves. You’re slightly nervous about why you are being invited to hang out with the main gang all of a sudden at a bar, but it doesn’t trouble you enough to have second thoughts about going. Working hard the rest of the day, you finish early and find time to go home and change for the night.
You choose after a few minutes of deciding a purple blouse and your favorite pair of jeans to wear, not really feeling like dressing up but wanting to be fresh in your appearance. With a quick redoing of your makeup and some playing with your hair, you are ready to go, proceeding to make your way out your door and to the bar. It’s luckily only a few minutes from your house, so you manage to arrive just in time to meet the Achievement Hunters at the door, including Ryan. Your eyes senselessly gravitate toward him before Lindsay greeting you snaps you out of it.
“I’m so glad you came!” She tells you with a welcoming hug, earning a teasing groan from the rest of the guys. You thank her and then pull back, surprised to see only the Achievement Hunters and no one else with the group. “Where’s everyone else?” “They had to bail at the last minute,” Michael says a bit bitterly, pausing a second to look at his phone before muttering something along the lines of ‘jackasses’ under his breath. Lindsay just shrugs and throws her arm around you. “We don’t need them though to have fun tonight. Bitches can miss out this time. C’mon, let’s go inside!” Putting on your best smile, you nod and follow Lindsay willingly inside the bar, the guys following behind you two through the doors. Ryan’s last, so you have a bit trouble locating him once you’re inside the dark and loud bar. When you do see him though, he catches your eye and you share eye contact until you realize what you are doing and look away blushing, earning a spoken but unheard chuckle from Ryan thanks to the music.
Lindsay speaks to you all for a while laying out ground rules of who-takes-who home before dismissing you all to your respective areas in the bar. You decide to hang with her for a bit so you don’t seem stalkerish to Ryan right off the bat and end up getting into a fairly interesting conversation that keeps you busy for most of the night. Before you know it, the night is almost all of the way gone, and you have a slight buzz but no Ryan. Which is far from okay in your opinion. “Hey Lindsay,” you say after a dip in your conversation, “I’m going to go see how the guys are doing. Is that okay?” Nodding, Lindsay practically pushes you towards them, insisting that it’s no big deal for you to go. It’s hard to believe her, but you end up doing just that and heading over right into the group Ryan’s in with Geoff and Ray. Geoff is probably five beers drunk, but Ray and your Ryan both are incredibly sober for being in a bar. Tapping Ryan on the shoulder, you catch his attention and earn a warm smile.
“Well hey there Taylor,” he says to you, causing a shiver to run down your spine. “I was wondering if Lindsay was ever going to release you to come speak to everyone else.” Giggling, you shove your hands into your pockets and shrug. “Yeah, we did talk for quite some time there. It was pretty fun, though. So, what have you all been talking about?” “Well, Geoff was just telling us about something he did to Gavin a few days ago, but it was more slurring than story really.” “I heard that,” Geoff says suddenly, turning from Ray to give Ryan a glare. “And I’m not drunk, bitch.” “Okay, Geoff. Whatever you say.” “Hi Geoff!” “Taylor!” He nearly yells with a wide grin. “Heyyyy girl! You havin’ fun talking to Mr. Hardwood here?” “Geoff-” “I call it like I see it man,” he says in reply to Ryan with a shrug, hiccuping soon after. Sighing, Ray grabs Geoff by the arm and pulls him away just in time for you much to Geoff’s dislike, almost as if he was reading your mind. You turn to Ryan and catch him blushing slightly himself, and it takes your breath away from you for a second as you try and form words to say in reply to that.
“That right there? That’s why I don’t drink here.” “I get that completely,” you say, switching your weight. “I mean, I drink but I get why you don’t drink...yeah.” Ryan chuckles again, and you nearly swoon at how nice it sounds to your ears. “Hey Taylor, would you be up to going to my place and ditching these guys? I’m not really feeling whatever they are feeling tonight but I don’t want to exactly waste the night, you know? We could just go play some games and order some food. How does that sound?” You have to restrain yourself from screaming. “Of course,” you reply within seconds, almost too cheerful. Ryan smiles and reaches for his keys immediately, grabbing your hand with his other hand. Dragging you behind him, he says goodbye to the guys and Lindsay and then takes you out to the parking lot. It’s very sudden, and you are barely keeping up, but you can’t really complain. You’re on your way to Ryan’s apartment of all places. It’s miles past where you thought you’d be. To question it would be pointless.

“Make yourself at home.” Sitting down on a grey couch in Ryan’s living room, you have to take a moment to take in the reality of your situation while you can. Ryan, looking quite frankly hot as he can be, has you at his house and has asked you to spend the night hanging out with him. Okay then. It’s possibly the best luck you have ran into lately, and you feel like pinching yourself to rid yourself of the dream that is going on around you. Entering in from the kitchen with a bowl of chips and two sodas, Ryan abruptly brings you out of your thoughts. “So I thought I had other stuff, but it appears like all I have for us tonight are these chips and sodas. I apologize in advance, it’s not exactly top notch or anything they’d be selling at the bar.” “Oh it’s fine,” you assure him, honestly about two seconds from telling him to screw the food and kiss you. “I’m sure I’ll still have a great time regardless. What game are we going to play?”
“I was thinking a little Minecraft can start us, and then I was thinking some Assassin’s Creed. Does that sound good?” You nod, obviously not about to start bargaining at a time like this. Taking the soda graciously from Ryan, you snatch up one of his controllers and patiently wait for him to start up Minecraft. As he bends down however, you have to put your drink down just to keep from dropping it. Wow, does he look good from behind. From top to bottom, he’s absolutely delectable, all of him. You try not to ogle him, but it’s practically impossible to do, especially since his jeans practically sculpt everything out in perfect form for you to see. He turns before you can turn your eyes away, and a small blush creeps on his cheeks as you take your eyes off his in embarrassment. “Enjoy the view over there?” “Ryan-” “You can’t possibly think I didn’t see you there, Taylor.” “A girl can always hope?” “What exactly are you hoping for?”
You nearly freeze. Did he seriously just say that? How can you possibly answer to that without letting him know your true feelings to him? Does he already know them, and could that be why he’s asking you? “W-What do you think I’m hoping for?” Standing up, Ryan saunters over to you and sits down by your side, uncomfortably close considering the sexual tension you can feel in the air. “Oh, I don’t know Taylor. I think you were hoping that I saw you and took you into my arms, kissed you like how you want to be kissed by me. Oh, yeah, by the way, I know. You know, that you like me. Lindsay hinted it to me when she told me about the bar, and even then you haven’t really kept it much a secret.” You swallow hard. “I haven’t?” “Oh heck no,” he tells you with a sinister chuckle. “Far from it, actually.” “Wonderful.” “Isn’t it? So, now that you know I know, and I know what you know, what do you want me to do about it? Because we don’t have to settle for Minecraft and crappy food. There’s plenty of different ways we can spend this night.”
You practically shut down internally at hearing his words, the shift in Ryan’s tone that makes you nearly die. It doesn’t even seem real to you. How can you tell him what you want when you can barely breathe? “If you want,” Ryan says after a moment, voice suddenly lower than before and in a hushed tone, “I can always show you one of my ideas.” Unable to speak, you just nod and wait in anticipation for what Ryan has in store for you. Instead of the sudden sweeping away off to rough, intense sex, you are surprised to find Ryan gently kissing your lips with attentive care, one arm holding you sternly but not uncomfortably in place. His lips keep you enticed, and you can just sense that the night can only go up from there. Pulling back, you pant and stare right at Ryan.
“Bedroom, my love?”
“Bedroom, my king.”
