“Stop walking away from me when I’m trying to- Fucking snow!” Ruby growled as she stalked after Raziel, the thick snow making it hard to see him since he was so pastey these days. She managed to make out that he took a left into an open warehouse and she followed him in, only to immediately regret her decision as she collided with his back. “What the fuck? Don’t you know how to walk?” She backed up only to be bet with resistance at her back. Turning around Ruby looked up as she tried to see what was keeping her only to see the warding etched up on the walls both angelic and demonic. “...you walked us right into a kill box. I mean sure get out of the snow but right into a trap, Raziel? Really? You’re smarter than this.”

Ruby looked up as she felt the necklace settle around her neck. She smiled at Raziel softly and leaned over to kiss his cheek. “You know you don’t have to get me material things.” She leaned back against him, touching the necklace gently. “Still. Thank you.” She turned his head so this time she could kiss him on the lips. It was little things that she could rely on. They couldn’t kiss in public or go on dates or even hold hands as they walked down the street. Carrying something he gave her was as close as she could get. It pushed words dangerously close to her edge of her mouth but they never crossed her lips. Not yet.

Do you have any concerns being with Raziel?

“Of course I have concerns. Being with him is the scariest thing I’ve ever done. It terrifies me what I’d be willing to do for him. I worry he’ll realise what he’s doing and leave. I worry it’s not real. I’m scared we’ll get caught and i’ll die for it. I’m scared something will happen to him on this stupid mission to reopen heaven. Knowing there are places I can’t follow him and that there might be a point where we get separated by space and duty, I try to focus on what I have with him now. It’s strange and new and scary and we don’t always know what we’re doing but it’s ours.” @razielxhid
