Hey so in response to your confusion about cara, the question itself is not sexist, it's simply how they asked her. Her male counterpart is always asked WHEN he read the book while she was asked IF she read it. I assume this has happened multiple times and she was just sick of it. It obviously gives no excuse for her being rude, but sometimes you get sarcastic when you are answering something you've already answered. I am not completely certain obviously, this is just information I've gathered.
thank you! yeah, that makes a little bit more sense, but I agree, it still doesn’t give her an excuse to be so overtly rude
