The thing that I didn't ever think I'd feel the difference about between RC and PB is the way the write the sex scenes, or rather the writing associated with it. PB's scenes have become so boring to me, there's no connection between the LI and the MC, no character development, it's just plain smut, compared to that RC isn't that explicit, but the scenes are just so emotionally charged without losing it's sexual aspect. Mei's first sex scene with Kazu for example, it's well written but the fact that they encompass her fear, his patience, their tenderness is more important to me than anything.... Like the hands tied, knife at throat part

The way he showed that she had nothing to fear it's just ahjfhjkkkkkk

Anyways, if you can't tell I fucking love this book 😭
