Te Amo Vol. 2 finale!! 🫶🏼

(Warning: spoilers!)

It was short, but so sweet!

I wish it could’ve lasted just a little longer. Like have one big moment together as a group of friends. Or maybe a wedding with a professional photographer, wedding planner who doubles as a singer, a gazebo built from scratch, and custom designed favors.

Here are some of my favorite moments from the final two episodes:

The Kiss

I don’t know why my MC’s hair is like that because I picked the long hairstyle. But besides that, I really liked this kiss. It was perfectly tentative yet spontaneous, tender and sincere. I might add this to my list of favorite first kisses.

This face

This is the geekiest, most excited little boy face ever! It’s so cute and funny. 😂

Liz’s wish reveal

My guess was that Liz wished for all the friends to stay friends forever. That was somewhat true. But the wishing for everyone else’s wishes to come true… that’s even better! And so sweet.

My ending

All my friends’ wishes came true. The Christmas event was a hit. Henry is now going on a 2 week vacation. Kate has a photo exhibition. Diana is drilling a bunch of kids to become master woodworkers.

Matt and Liz kept paragliding together and he popped the question mid-air.

I wish we could’ve gotten a little more than that, but I love how the story closed. The bit about childhood wishes, growing up, refinding the simple joys we had as kids. It’s a classic, sweet message that didn’t feel cliche to me. With all the high intensity and dark storylines from the other books, it’s a welcome palate cleanser. I really hope to get more of these.

Overall

I loved this book! It was such a huge improvement over Vol. 1! It was the exact touch of cheesy, feel good, holiday magic romance I had been wanting.

I loved Matt. I know he’s a popular LI, but it’s not just looks. I loved his sense of humor and awkwardness. It felt very real and not the stereotypical smoldering LI. Also, he’s kinda geeky, artsy fartsy in a realistic way, which is cool. Damn… that’s def my type.

At one point Dmitry said that this would be the final volume of Te Amo. But recently he’s hinted that there will be a Vol. 3. I really hope that turns out to be true! I kinda hope it’s a similar seasonal holiday story, like Valentine’s Day or Halloween. I just hope it stays contemporary and cozy.
