One thing I really loved about Theodora was addressing the ugly and terrible face of war. Death, violence, humiliation...
And another thing I loved even more was showing that even in the darkest moments, you can find light. Friendship, love, hope...
This book was amazing. Full of love and reality of life even with magical elements.
A xander fan hating on lane because of what something the fucked up author wrote in ONE of her paths but is a fan of Xander- who has been this mega abusive asshole throughout the story yet still loving him is insane
And I don't have anything against xander, I might like him too....idk let's see how it goes and I like advent but some of you RC fans are either hypocrites or you just hate women more

Okay so people on Reddit are saying that the “last chance” notification for James in episode 5 means “last chance for a fling”, but I think it means last chance to get on his route. When Alexandre in VfV became an endgame LI we had one chance to get on his path in S1E10, otherwise you miss it and there is no other way to continue romancing him. The same thing is happening in 7B.
There is also the 💎 option of denying the hookup when Simon asks you about it. Unlike VfV where some 💎 was a worse option than the free options, 7B has been more predictable. 💎 choices are usually the better option in the story. My prediction is that denying you hook up with James will work in Jaynie’s favor. If James become an LI he will probably tell her next episode that he did that as a test and he will tell the brothers that it was joke or something. If you are single the other brothers will see Jaynie as “their mother Theresa” so it won’t affect their relationship with them.
Nothing but the fact that Kazu and Mei are literally soulmates, each of their fates intertwining with the other's and I don't think we speak enough about that. Like Mei's mother took shelter in Aogawara and the people there hid them, and the subsequent burning of the village and Kazu being the only survivor, which was the exact reason for him to fight in the White Arena, from where the Naito clan found him and then that being the reason he met Mei again 😭😭😭😭😭 I could ramble on and on about this but the way their fates are so closely intertwined, one setting into motion the other event jkggjcjkkk I can't just 😭😭😭😭
I just remembered I literally killed the nicest guy of the squad for the black widow achievement. Although Greg didn't really die, it still makes me uneasy. I mean... why? Why killing him when the worst we did to other LIs was slapping in the face?
A lot of people having been voicing their opinions about the romance pace in rc, so here's mine
I'm a slowburn girlie, I think seasons are extremely important to how you pace your slowburn, if it's a 4 season book - you can slowburn to the death of you but by season 3, start wrapping shit up and make them a full blown couple... if it's a 3-seasons book, mami start giving us the couple shit by beginning of season 2 (not whatever wtc is doing because the fans keep complaining of lack of romance)
As much as I love slowburns, I also love passion and smut, If it's deadass in season 3 and they are barely having sex or aren't spending a large amount of time being a couple, that's torture-burn not slowburn
And slowburn is needed if their relationship is really complicated e.g enemies to lovers Tiss and the entire imperial characters (I trust jester in this, he is best in the slow pace)....I would have also said amen and eva as an enemies to lovers example of why slowburn is needed but they aren't slowburn
orrr if there's some angst on their route like memory loss or something cain and lane, or where the situation they're in doesn't allow much space for feelings like being a leader with people relying on you in the apocalypse e.g dmitry and lane....slowburn is needed
BUT, what I seriously dislike about some rc books is the LI only getting together at the end because they were slowburn...like wtf?? (And it's most times the 3-season books, they're always rushed) No, I want to see them go through couple things for half of the book please, not rushing them through 3 episodes and giving us some tired ass wedding at the end....which is why I need most books to be four seasons, give them enough time to spread out the relationship while also focusing on the plot
A couple getting together early on in the season and staying throughout with nothing to spice up the relationship but dry ass sex scenes and little to no couple interactions, then having a wedding in the last season, does absolutely nothing for me which is why I love slowburn/angst (give us all the drama and feelings in the beginning and by the time the boring part is coming, where the couple no longer wows the reader, the story would have already started wrapping up)
One option I wished people had in real life as well is that they understand when we started friendship path and when I'm being nice doesn't mean I'm flirting or something
There is always room for criticism, but I personally like books that belong to the same universe. This doesn't necessarily mean that the storylines must reach a common point (like HS3). I mean, for example HS, ABH and HSR, despite being in the same universe, had entertaining stories and didn't feel repetitive to me personally, and the MCs have interesting and different backgrounds and path.
Or in two Kali books that are in two different timelines and the two stories don't meet at a specific point (but the events that take place in the same world and are connected in some parts) have a pleasant sense of familiarity for me. The histories that are connected, the main characters of one book who are mentioned in the other book or are personally present as side characters...
Sometimes, it feels like watching the entire history of a universe. Or watching a long series and then its spin-offs. It may have its weaknesses sometimes, but it is also cool and daring in a way. I would really love to see this for more books. It was kinda hard for me to say goodbye to some books vibe. Some have incredible potential.
(If there are more books like this, I just haven't played them yet. Otherwise, I would mention them for sure)
