The sound of footsteps aroused Wendy’s attention, her expression seemingly brightening as she noticed a familiar boy approaching. Leaning lazily against the wall, she raised her soda mug in a manner of a greeting.
“Lookin’ good, Robs. Is that a new shade of black?” A smirk accompanied the ginger’s gentle tease, pale fingers reaching out to wipe a strand of hair behind his ear.

Flicking the Mystery Shack charm hanging from her cellphone, Wendy heaved a sigh of boredom, puffing a few stray strands of hair away from her face.
She unlocked her phone and opened her text inbox. Her eyes flicked to the time, which glowed 6:47pm. Someone had to be around, she decided. She’d hang out at the Diner if it meant not mooching around her room, bored, for the whole night.
The redhead’s eyes scanned her list of recent contacts and landed on a name who’s last received message had been only a day beforehand.
