After playing the RCD 3 finale and the TRH rapid-paced pregnancy montage, I feel more strongly than ever that both were originally written as books about other topics (the making of The Secret of Ninradell/Bertrand and Savannah’s wedding) that had rushed prologues, epilogues and premium scenes added out of a managerial belief that books about weddings and babies sell more diamonds.

As much as I roll my eyes about every romance game ending with weddings and babies, I wouldn’t have minded a wedding or baby-themed book if that were what the actual plot were about. Likewise, I doubt I would have minded books that ended with a quick wedding or pregnancy montage if they weren’t advertised as being entirely about the wedding and/or baby. It’s the false advertising and 15+ chapters of waiting for something that’s only hinted at and/or only available in premium scenes that’s left a bad taste in my mouth.
