Maleficent twirled the flower in her hands. Baby’s breath-that's what they called it. She herself didn’t care for the flower but she knew the Banshee would. She walked towards the other, still trying to keep her composure.

A very drunken giggle was issued from her as she turned the corner back to their kitchen table. The mischievous cackling of the sound suggested that a witch was in the room, though a fond friend nonetheless. The man in the moon, a gentleman of guidance and counselor of all things wonder, fun, memory, hope, dream and in particular to her center: friendship.
“If this is a test of our friendship, I have to remind you,” she spoke to the snoring man with his head against the table. He’d long since passed out, “That I said what I said. When it comes to family moonshine, I will drink anyone under the table.”
She shook her head in pity before calling over her shoulder for both her husband and Phil to help carry Doc into the spare bedroom for more rest.
“we’re up in flames, the both of us” ( hera ! )
hades looks at her, golden in all her glory. The fire embedded in her warrior heart hasn’t changed from when she was a child, but when looking at Hera now, the wrinkles by her eyes and tired lips gives away the age that even a goddess must feel. He wonders if his own features echo the same effects of a millennium on their shoulders.
The way Hades places a hand upon her thigh is gentle and comforting. He doesn’t like the way his own beloved brother hurts her, and Hera has heard him say it enough times. He doesn’t need to say it again, when his touch is all he needs to convey a message.
Hades gazes into Hera’s eyes, looking back at him with an air of majesty that a true queen carries. He remembers a time when that look in her eye stirs a tenderness in his heart - and if he focuses on it too long, he is scared to admit the feeling she brings him now.
“we are, aren’t we?” hades murmurs, the neck of a bottle of ambrosia cold in his fingers. “the one thing about being immortal they never told us - we’re up in flames, and we always will be.”

Unsure what had come over her to have just broken down like this, Lilico did not even hesitate to join the man in the inviting pillow fort, soon enough curled up in herself with arms hugging her knees, stifling her sobs as best as she could. “I was lo-lo-looking so-so so stupid..” It had been her first attempt in coming clean with her feelings but instead she was completely misunderstood and her confession had went unnoticed. Usually she was strong willed and this should not have gotten to her as much as it did. But there she was, getting comforted by Doc, eventually letting herself be pulled closed by the kind man and be hugged, letting her tears fall while her breath eventually calmed again.

She held back her sniffles to the best of her ability in between soft comments and tender fingertips pulling strands from every direction. It was an honor to braid Sally’s hair, especially on her big day. She had a wedding veil to account for, and a new crown after that to be placed on that nest of braids. Jessie couldn’t feel anymore proud, “ Your hair is softer than the stack of hay on my head. You’ll have to tell me your secrets.” Her lip trembled as she pieced together a couple of more plaits and fastened them with a couple of pins and elastics.
She couldn’t thank Sally enough for sharing the moment with her. It both broke her heart and elevated it to true joy. Taking the hand mirror located on the nearby chest of drawers she showed Sally her handy work. “ I always hoped I’d be there for my daughter on her wedding day.” With her fingertips, she twirled a couple of the bride’s bangs for extra framing of her face, “You look beautiful, Sally.”
He shouldn’t have done it. Most would see it as creepy or rude, but Basil had not been able to help the pen that moved along his sketch paper, his green eyes that would take in every crease of her feature, put down every details- there was such beauty in devastation, in silent, hidden sadness- the elf had a skill in noticing it all and bringing it to paper. But as a unsuspecting subject, it felt only fair to let her know. “I, apologize- I could not help it.” And so he presented her with her portrait, pencil on white paper, having captured her in her lonely state. “It’s not meant to be anything..creepy, I was just- in the moment you see, art knows no rest. I did not mean to overstep.” @rcsaries

“Because she has reasons to. When I was little and still lived at the palace, I used to shoot arrows at her chandeliers. She hated it and seeing her furious because of the broken crystals made me feel better about what she did to my mother. I also used to draw ugly faces on her pictures, break vases, embarrass her in front of guests… I definitely was a brat and I don’t regret any of that. Her disgrace makes me happy.”

who believes in love at first sight? — neither, they’re old… they have lived long enough to stop believing in those fairy tale concepts.
who started liking the other first? — i would like to think augustus did, thanatos can be very cautious and distant when he first meets someone because he doesn’t trust them completely.
who is more likely to suggest a romantic, candle-lit dinner? — thanatos, he really likes the atmosphere of a candle-lit room and dinner always compliments that.
who’s behind the wheel more often during road trips? — both, it depends on who’s more willingly to do it. they probably take turns.
who sets up the tent and who gathers firewood during a camping trip? — thanatos sets up the tent and augustus gathers firewood.
who hooks bait during a fishing trip? who catches more fish? — augustus hooks bait, and surprisingly, thanatos catches more fish because he can actually stay silent. augustus can’t.
who insists on learning how to ballroom dance? — thanatos does, it’s one of the things he knows best and he’d definitely teach augustus so he won’t embarrass himself at events.
who goes all out on the other’s birthday? — thanatos, hades pays him well and he doesn’t have a lot to spend on so he spoils his loved ones.
who sings louder while cooking? while showering? — augustus does it, thanatos thinks it’s really funny because he doesn’t sing well at all.
who teases the other for said singing? — thanatos, sometimes he records it and sends it to the other horsemen so they can laugh too.
who insists on checking their zodiac sign compatibility every so often? — neither, i don’t think they believe in that.
who drags the other to fortune tellers at fairs? — neither, they’d rather not know about the future.
who would carry who over the doorstep of a new home? — augustus, he’s physically way stronger than thanatos.
