"Yes, I've received the letter from your parents." Evie said looking the girl child over from her spot on her balcony. Tradition dictated that she take such requests in the throne room, but perhaps the nature of the request called for something a little less formal.

Evie motioned to the seat across from her as petty enchantments prepared tea. She had known this girl's brother some years before and the experience was anything but pleasant.

"It would seem your parents proclaim that your ambitions are not that of a princess. Is that correct? " Evie had built up her own kingdom from the dirt up. She was a proud of it. "Surely there are better kingdoms and monarchs to learn from for such endeavors. Why come here?"
