Constantly reading fan fiction has pretty much eaten up all the spare time I used to spend reading actual novels, and I realised today that I can't even remember the last time I finished a book and I wanted to shake myself. So, between whenever my copy of The Fault in Our Stars arrives in the mail and December I'm going to attempt to finish ten books.
AND Y'ALL SHOULD JOIN IN! Even if it's just a few books or a couple of months, it'll be fun to have some more people to cry at (I'm told TFiOS is going to turn me into a fountain of tears) and share success (or you know... failure) with!
My first thought was: 'I should get around to the Game of Thrones series and The Hunger Games, yeah', but I think that's more than 10 books... Anyway, I just had a perve at the giant stack of second hand books that I've bought, shelved and abandoned over the years, and I've worked out a tentative list.
The Fault in Our Stars - John Green
The Boat - Nam Le
Vile Bodies - Evelyn Waugh
Breakfast on Pluto - Patrick McCabe
A Week in December - Sebastian Faulks
Into the Wild - Jon Krakauer
All the Pretty Horses - Cormac McCarthy
England Made Me - Graham Greene
The Remains of the Day - Kazuo Ishiguro
Northern Lights - Philip Pullman (I know this is a trilogy, but I'll leave it to the end in case I get hooked :P)
I'm pretty easily swayed though, so if anyone with a better idea of anything that's come out in the past few years has any rad suggestions I'm super open to them.

P.S. Chances are I'll only post about this a couple of times a week, but if you want to avoid it blacklist 'bronreads'.
