“You were right,” Leon murmured, gravelly with fatigue. “This feels like Heaven.” The hot water seeped into his body, undoing the tension in his shoulders and thighs. The ache of the day softened, his back sinking further against the porcelain as the steam and the orange-scented candle you’d lit earlier wrapped him in their haze. But the real ease came from your heat swallowing him whole. It wasn’t just the bath loosening him; it was you, embracing him, grounding him– a combination that left him boneless and pliant under you.
You chuckled, tenderly kissing his nose. “I’m always right.”
He huffed a laugh and stared at you with his gorgeous, ocean blue eyes that always pulled you in without warning.
“Speaking of Heaven… guess who knocked earlier?”
He smirked. “Mrs Santoferrara?”
“Mhm.” You gently brushed back his hair, revealing his forehead, and continued threading your fingers through the wet locks.
He leaned into your tender ministrations like a touch-starved dog. “What did she bring today? Apple pie? Lemon bars? Steamy gossip?”
“Neither. She brought Pasta Frola! Can you believe that?” You beamed, accidentally clenching around him. He shuddered, placing his hands on your hips to keep you steady. “She’s so sweet. I only mentioned I liked it once in passing. I can’t believe she remembered.”
“I think the old hag just wants to fatten you up,” he jokes, brushing your skin with his thumbs.
“You’re so mean. She’s a sweetheart,” you whine, wrapping your arms around his neck as you snuggle closer to him, making him grunt.
“Maybe to you. She’s always giving me the evil eye.”
“That’s because you never stop and talk to her.”
“I’ve greeted her every single time I see her ever since I moved in,” he huffed, offended.
“Yeah, well, all she probably ever heard from you is hello and goodbye.”
He averted his eyes momentarily. “...Maybe.”
You cackled at that, burying your face into his neck.
“You know, this is hard when you move so much,” he complained.
“You whine too much, Kennedy.”
He rolled his eyes. “Please, be my secretkeeper? I’ve got a reputation to maintain.”
“Hm, I don’t know…” You teased. “Mrs Santoferrara can be very persuasive.”
“She’d give you anything in exchange for some juicy gossip… and you’d sell me out for some dessert, wouldn’t you?”
“...Maybe,” you joked, grinning.
He groaned, lip twitching into a soft smile. “You’re unbelievable.”
The two of you chuckled before settling into the quiet of the evening, letting the scent of the candle and the steam slowly relax you as you revelled in the intimacy of being connected while doing something domestic after a long, exhausting day at work.
After a few minutes of comfortable quiet, Leon placed a loving kiss on your head, mumbling sleepily, “Don’t ever leave me.” His words, softer than the water and sweeter than the candle’s scent, warmed your chest. You exhaled contentedly, pressing a kiss on his throat in response: a silent promise of your undying and never-ending love for him.

(a/n): Here's the reader-insert version of my PewDiePie Vendetta Leon ♥
It was relatively quiet at the bar, except for the constant murmuring of the other customers. Dim warm lights gave the place an almost cozy and welcoming feel, despite the weight in the air. Leon’s chest felt heavy with guilt and sorrow as he gently swayed the rest of the amber liquid left in his glass before downing it in one gulp.
“Bring me another one,” he asked the bartender.
“And some orange juice for me, please. No ice.”
Leon scoffed, low, bitter. He didn't need to turn; he knew that sweet voice well. “Helluva drink choice for a place like this.”
The stool next to him creaked as you sat down. “Someone's gotta keep a clear head. Might as well be me.” He could picture your cheeky smirk without even having to glance your way.
“It's always you. Never seen you have a real drink.”
You shrugged. “Orange juice seems like a real drink to me.”
He snorted humorlessly. “Right. So, what brings Mx Juice Box to a place like this?”
“Can't a person have alcohol-free fun?”
“Funny. I didn’t know this was your definition of fun. Especially not when you could spend the night playing your video games.”
You opened your mouth to retort when his words sank in. “It makes me feel special that you know my working schedule.”
Leon rolled his eyes, murmuring: “Don’t let it get to your head.”
“Yes, I do have the day off tomorrow,” you proceeded. “But I thought… what could be more fun than Gaming Night?” You snapped your fingers as you continued: “And then it clicked: annoying my parter, Leon!”
“You’ve chosen the wrong night, Sunshine.”
“Hm. Have I?”
The two of you fall into comfortable silence, enjoying the company and the drinks you ordered. The jukebox coughed up an old, catchy rock song. You vibed with the song, despite not having heard it before. You swayed in your seat, foot tapping to the beat. Leon, on the other hand, remained quiet, brooding, thinking about the people he lost, his unit. You let him sit with it for a while. In the meantime, you sipped your juice as if it were fine wine, browsed the bar’s menu, and listened to the song.
There's a place a Gemini dream
There's no escaping from the love we have seen
So come with me, turn night to day
You gonna wake up
You know you gonna wake up in a Gemini dream
Then, you casually mumbled, “The food here doesn’t sound appetizing at all.”
“We’re in a bar, not a diner.”
“Speaking of diners, I’m a bit hungry. Wanna go grab some food at that dinner you took me to last time?”
“Rikki’s?”
“Yeah! I’m in the mood for a burger. Maybe some onion rings. And chocolate cake with milk tea afterwards.” You squealed in delight at the mere thought. “My treat, of course.”
He fell quiet for a moment, then he spoke in a low tone, weary, barely restraining the sorrow he had been drowning in till you arrived, “I’m so damn tired of being the only one left standing.”
You drank the last of your juice and set it down with a soft knock. “Yeah…I know that feeling.” You made a short pause. “But you’re not alone, Leon. You’ve got people who care about you. Me included. That counts for something, right?”
He heaved a long, tired sigh. “You don’t have to do this.”
“I don’t have to, or you don’t want me to?”
He hesitated. “You don’t have to.”
“Well, I want to.” You smiled.
“You shouldn’t waste your time on me.”
“I don’t waste my time, Leon. I spend it on whoever I want. And that happens to be you. Got a problem with that, Black Parade?”
That made him look at you–really look–for the first time since you arrived. His ocean blue eyes flickered with gratitude, mixed with something heavier, deeper: something he couldn’t name–not yet. “...Fine.”
“Good,” you said with a satisfied little smirk when he didn’t argue. “Now, let’s go. Your stomach’s been growling so loud I thought I was sitting next to a bear.”
“No, it wasn’t.” He grumbled, feeling his ears turn pink despite knowing quite well you couldn’t have heard it over the music and murmuring.
Only when you turned to pay did the heaviness in his chest ease just enough for a ghost of a smile to slip past his guard—safe from the warmth of your lovely eyes.

(a/n): My first fic in FOREVER. And also my first RE fic! I'm so excited! Leon has become my new muse; I can no longer hide it 🙈
“Here,” you offered the rookie a water bottle.
His eyes shone as if you had just offered him a gold bar. “Where’d you get that?” he asked before taking a few gulps. The cool liquid helped him settle a little.
“One of Fercho’s stashes. We’re not in luck, though. He only refills them on the first day of the month.”
He hummed softly, wishing he’d gotten to know the rest of the team, as he offered the rest of the water to you.
The two of you were currently in the records room looking for provisions and any other survivors, as Lieutenant Branagh had instructed. The power was flickering, both your stomachs rumbling, and your nerves fried.
“Keep it. There’s another one here.” You said, putting the other bottle in a backpack you found lying around. Probably Larysa’s. Yours now. The memory of her turning into a walking corpse made you clench your jaw.
“Good, we should save some for Lieutenant Branagh.”
You couldn’t hold back the exhausted sigh from leaving your lips.
“What?”
“Rook— Leon, Marvin… doesn’t have much time.”
“But you patched him up, he—”
“He was bitten. He’ll turn eventually.” Your statement came out harsher than you intended. You didn’t have to look the rookie in the eye to know what he was feeling. “Sorry, I… I know it’s a lot. I just need you to understand the situation.”
“I… understand perfectly, Detective.”
“Just call me by my name,” you instructed him, and before he could protest, you proceeded. “Look, I think,” you made a pause as you reached for the single protein bar at the far bottom of a cardboard box, “that you’re struggling—not coping well. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not questioning your intellect. I’m worried about your mental health. We’re living a hell of a nightmare–and sure, I haven’t known you for long. But I’ve noticed you tend to hide behind humor and flirtation— which is not necessarily bad; the banter is appreciated, trust me.” You chuckled softly. “But taking a moment to feel–to really feel? That’s necessary.”
“You want me to sit with my feelings?”
“Yeah, exactly.” You offered him the protein bar. “Here.”
He took it with a small thanks. “I don’t… think it’s the time. Or place. Uh, with all due respect,” he added quickly.
“Yeah, well… Worst first day of work ever, huh?”
He huffed a short laugh. Then after a moment, he spoke in a soft tone: “I’m… scared if I do that, I won’t be able to keep going.”
“Nonsense. You’re with me! I’ll drag you if I have to.”
“More like you’ll talk me into it,” he joked.
“Subtle way of telling me I talk too much.” You smirked. “And hey, I may not look like it, but I can definitely drag you around.”
“Yeah, you were a member of S.T.A.R.S., so I don’t doubt that.”
“Wow, you did your research.” He shrugged, smiling. “I left after the first mission, so…”
“Why, why did you leave?”
“Eh, it wasn't for me. I realized I wanted to serve justice on my own terms rather than under a pretty label.” You cleared your throat. “Anyway, eat. You’ll need the extra energy.” You pointed to the protein bar he was still holding.
“You should have it.”
You argued. “What? No. You need it more—”
The rookie shoved it into your hand with a sharp, “Just eat it. Please.”
You sighed and ate half of it, tucking the other half into his vest pocket, a small, silent gesture that made him laugh despite himself.
Leon leaned his head back against the wall, closed his eyes, and muttered: “If you keep looking out for me like this, I don’t know how I’m supposed to keep my distance.”
You rolled your eyes, unable to fight the grin creeping on your face. “Please, rookie. I’m almost a decade older than you.”
“Well, uh, I’ve always liked mature people.”
You cackled at that. “You’re unbelievable.”
“Thank you.”
“That wasn't a compliment, weirdo.”
“For… the advice, I mean.”
“Oh… Yeah, no problem. Now, let’s get outta here.”
Leon nodded, following your lead. A small smile was still plastered on his face.
